Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (PS2)

I bought this game close to when it was released and i thought it would be as good as the third harry potter game but not the same lay out as the fourth. It was great at first while in grimuald place as i like the way you get to cast spells because it's different than just pressing one button to cast. What i didn't enjoy about this game is how you spend alot of time running around the castle doing jobs for other people which can be pretty boring as the castle is so huge. There is not really much to do and i hate the fact that when ever you make a discovery and go up a level Murtle keeps appearing and stopping you from what your doing.

Madden NFL 09 All Play (Wii)

This new version of Madden initially had me very excited on first play as it looks far removed from the previously solid but uninspired 07,08 versions.

The player models have a far greater level of detail and the stadiums look to have been rendered at a higher resolution. In addition, the gameplay is far smoother, without the jerkiness of previous wii efforts. A cool new menu system to choose plays via the remote and a "call your shots mode" that acts as a watered down telestrator in-game to direct your players is great.

Problem is, all of these wonderful ideas have been bolted on to a game that is no different in feel to Madden 2004. It uses the same basic engine and has the very same player animations and cut scenes. The use of Madden ... Read More:

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 (PC DVD)

Having read most of the reviews i was not too sure about buying this game, my last one was the 06 version. I have not come across any issues with this game, it looks superb and plays very well. I have had no installation problems or loading times being lenghty. To me the interface is easy to use if anything the only problem there is it looks abit cartoon created. If you have played Tiger before then you should know what to expect. We all know with EA Sports most games are just updates with a slight graphical improvement (fifa), that is the only downside, the commentry hasn't changed nor has the movement of the on screen player. Saying that though I am very happy with the game, give it a try you may be surprised. New commentry and it may well of got 4 stars.

Need for Speed: Carbon - Own The City (PSP)

This is an excellent game for those who likes cars. Compared to the earlier versions of Need for Speed games, this one has better features. I've actually got this on the PS2 as well, and it's great. More, nicer, cars. Good graphics, also well-developed storyline. Plus, there are crew racings here, 3 styles, ur crew could help u win by either drafting, assasinating, or brawling, you'll know those 3 when u play the game. :D

So if ur a racing fan, get this fantastic game.

Rail Simulator (PC DVD)

Over a period of time I have kept putting it off and putting it off but, eventually and with some trepidation(see some of the other reviews)I finally bought the Rail Simulator.

I wish I hadn't!

The manual was anything but helpful, the game(?)was appalling, the sounds dreadful. It was almost impossible to find advice and guidance and in the 3.8 GB of space it takes up the makers could have done much, much better. Then to play the game one has to keep the disc in all the time one is playing!.

That is a definite no-no.

So, when my patience was exhausted yet another real hurt came when I was trying to uninstall - it takes nearly an hour!!

What a total waste of money.

FIFA 08 (Wii)

I love this game. I'm not really a football fan but last weekend a friend had it and it was really good fun. I thought it was really funny -couldn't stop laughing. I'm defintely going to buy.

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (Xbox 360)

Most of you would think that because this game is on a 360, the controls will be horrible and confusing..... WRONG!!!

The controls are easy and you will be able to play this with ease within half an hour of learning.

Graphics are amazing and the animations of the bases are brilliant.

3 races to play from, GDI,NOD and SCAIN. All have different tech tree's and systems.

A massive campaign (38 levels) i believe, which will keep you entertained for hours.

SUPERWEAPONS!!!!! I love using these, especially on XBL, just total ownage they are.

Overall an excellent game and you won't regret buying this!!!!

Medal of Honor: Airborne (PC DVD)

This game has only one flaw and that is the large machine gun totting SS man in the final chapters...but that aside it is well worth the money.

I have read all of the revues of this game and find some of them laughable. If it is too short try playing it on the hardest level...if it doesn't run on your machine check the spec required first.

I have played every MOH and Brothers in Arms and Call of Duty as they appear and this is by far the best...Call4 is a close second but this is top.

If you have to buy a game for pure pleasure go for this one...if you just want to complain try anything from CDV or better yet Bioshock.

The Sims: Life Stories (PC DVD)

Essentially, The Sims Life Stories is The Sims 2 minus the quirks and perks. It has a relatively low specification, and so makes little demand on your system. It is also happily minimised should you wish to check your mail/chat on MSN/pretend to be doing something more constructive when someone pops in to see you. It's the perfect substitute for those whose computer just cannot handle the demands of the main game, or those who do not have the time to wait for the main game and its billion expansion packs (all necessary of course) to load up, but for those with the option...
