I love Mahjongg so this was perfect for me when I got a new DS Lite. You can play it for ages and just not realise the time. I am in my 30's and it has to be taken away from me in the end LOL.
Not only are there games against the clock, you can also play games at your own speed with no pressure.
There is also a quest where you follow a story and play along the way - although some of this is restricted with time which is not so good if you are a beginner.
Just dont play it on the bus going home - u might miss your stop.

This is a pretty good game, with a huge selection of different varieties of patience, all customisable according to preference, e.g. number of cards turned over at once, number of times allowed to go through pack.
One small flaw, however, is that it doesn't allow different user profiles to be set up, meaning that the stats for games played are based on all games played, by anybody. Also, the cards are, by necessity, pretty small on the screen, so if you need reading glasses, you'll have to wear them for this.
Very intuitive to play - an older relative with no video-game experience was able to pick it up and play it with no instruction. Overall, I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys either real-life or computer ... Read More:

I really wanted to like this game but it is the single dullest one I have ever played. You go from gate to gate to gate to gate dock undock, go speak to commander this or Lt this ... sigh...its very difficult to get into. I could not for the life of me work out how to trade and because there is no LIVE economy (playing against other players) its anyone guess if your getting a good deal or not. I havent been able to trade as yet and I have been playing for 3 hours.
I spent more time staring out of the living room window waiting for my ship to hyperdrive though gates than I did actually interacting with the game. Honestly if you liked elite this is PANTS compared to it. Waste of cash.

In all not a bad game if you enjoy the real game of snooker and handheld sport games. The most frustrating part is waiting for the opponent to miss a shot and lining up your own shot can also be frustrating. On a plus side the balls respond fairly realistically off each other and the cussions. For the price, this is not a bad game for the snooker fan.

The graphics are good, the story starts out pretty good too. The voice acting however ruined the game for me, so much so that i almost didn't finish it. there is the Russian that sound like a mix of a newyorker and a Sicilian. The old Irish barkeep that actually say something and follows it up with ...man! like a teenager. The expedition veteran that does his best Sean Connery impersonation, it feels like the programmers did the voice acting them selves, with out any guidelines to follow, its relay that bad. The ending blew it for me too, but that might just be a personal perspective.

i wont say anything else about the game, its all been said, awesome game, steep learning curve etc..... what i will say tho, however, as i feel it may be helpful (i didnt know about it till i read the forums after first playing the game) is that there are no cockpits, unless you install and activate the cockpit mod (with this edition goty 2007 edition) or can also be downloaded.
i first loaded up the game and was like ....?..."where are the cockpits"....? (i like cokpits in these games, adds to the immersion imho)
so there you go, common sense? maybe, but the first time i installed it i unchecked the "activate cockpit mod" box as i didnt have a clue what it was for. i soon learned.

The original Mark of Chaos was great. Good all round fun that took a little thought, and lo, you could pull things off.
This seems to be an exercise in how many times you can retry a mission until you give up, come back and try again..
One mission in particular is sensitive to timing. And when your units fail to charge, and decide to regroup and tiptoe instead of running, that's 20 mins down the drain. Again and again.
Good enough story to it, but it seems let down by less thought to balance than the original, and way too much frustration.

Warhammer have done these sorts of games before. I remember happly playing 'Shadow of the Horned Rat' amongst others on my old Playstation and being entertained for weeks. Despite this game having better graphics it is a hugely inferior game. As youd expect, the graphics have evolved and gotten better but the gameplay has gone poor. This is proberbly the most basic game I have ever bought on the Xbox 360. Its therefor ironic that the control system is so over-the-top and far too complicated. This is a poor game and only kept me occupied for 4 hours before I was ready to trade it in. This sort of game usually appeals to me, but on the Xbox 360, this genea of game has never been good.

This is an enjoyable, story driven wargame, it does, however, have it's problems and I'd like to highlight these first.
1. The initially released game is a bit buggy, but this was resolved by downloading the latest +300Mb patch. So apart from the normal moan about publishers releasing games before they are properly polished not a problem.
2. The 2 campaigns are a bit short, not yet tried the multiplayer.
3. There's a lot of loading time between scenarios.
But now to the good things:
1. A comptetent battle simulator, it reminded me of a spruced up 'Dark Omen', which is good. The simulator is not as good as the total war games but very enjoyable.
2. The warhammer setting, you know exactly what you are getting. ... Read More:
