Well what can I say --I am one of the many who ordered before 14th Nov expecting to get a free bass guitar! Trying to get to Amazon and get any help has provided me with 2 hours frustration spent talking on the phone or typing emails to various Amazon addresses. They should be checked out under the Trades Description Act for False advertising - or is it the Guitar Hero site which provides the link with the free Bass Guitar advert that needs the criticism --whichever it is, I hope all other customers who have been disappointed get what they ordered or vouchers to compensate for the hassle we have to go through for our kids Christmas Presents!!
PS Worth hanging in there, as 12 hours later we have now been given a full refund for the missing ... Read More:

My kids have thoroughly enjoyed this game - all it's billed to be BUT beware. As noted by other reviewers there is a design fault with the guitar. We bought the game in March from Amazon and after the guitar stopped working properly and a lot of ringing round we eventually were directed to Activision whose response is...buy a new one. The guarantee is only 90 days - is this mentioned anywhere when you pay £65 for the game? This is a known fault so why are the manufacturers not playing fair and replacing the faulty items??

Enjoy the game but you have been warned!

First of all this game is a lot of fun. It has a great song collection of 40 songs on the CD (41 if u download A-Ha's 'take on me' which is free) with hits like Leona Lewis's Bleeding Love and Blondie Call me. There are enough songs to suit everyone. You can sing alone or there is co-op or Vs modes. In co-op mode it lets you sing the high or hard parts of parts of the song while the other person sings the backing, so you sometimes are singing at the same time especially during the chorus which is nice. In vs. you both sing the entire song, trying to earn the most points to beat each other! We only have 2 mics but it is possible to have up to six people singing together.

After playing this game, before i cancelled my preorder of the band bundle in favour of using the rock band gear i already owned, I was hoping it would be awful and would "have" to buy the new GH:WT drums etc, it wasnt!! The game plays as well on the rock band drums as if it had been designed for them! So saved me a few quid, just for those who wanted to know how it plays on the RB gear.

Anyways onto the game, the graphics are amazing as per usual. However, it seems a bit annoying that you cant just quickplay any song from the start. This is after getting use to the 'pickup-n-play' style of RockBand that you cant just Quickplay any song you wish. Instead you must continue to unlock them all via a courier mode. The US gets the latest game, the latest instruments AND it's cheaper than this (the original instruments, no game and far more expensive.)

It's a joke, but not a funny one. I tried ordering the latest bundle from Amazon.com but they won't ship here. Maybe it's because they know the instruments for these titles break a lot and they're trying to save us the hassle of replacing them. Or maybe they're going to wait a bit then charge us double for the new bundle. Do not buy this game - you have more dough than sense if you do. Buy it second hand if you must.

Anyone that bad mouths this game really cant understand what its about, basically if you love music, with origional recordings which are much better than any covers that can be made (Guitar Hero) makes this game by far the best of its kind out there to dat, good track list all well known good songs, unlike the new guitar hero which has gone for all the B sides i mean why? whats the point in that? Rock Band FTW!

I bought this game after having so much fun with Guitar Hero 3. From a personal point of view I thought the track listing wasn't as good as no.3 but still rocked. I actually was better at this guitar hero than number 3 as i found the neck on the wireless guitar was a bit too thick for my hands to reach the fret buttons comfortably. Unlike number 3 i breezed through the tutorials and have done quite well at some tracks too.

I think all in all it is a game worth getting, it is also good value for money.
