All comments for solo play only. I stopped playing far cry to play this one and to start with I was quite impressed with what I was seeing. All the pad controls were logical (to me), graphics looked good and generally the game play was excellent, loved running around with the flame thrower. Then the stupid bits came in like the enemy AI that allowed me to stand right next to an enemy solider whilst killing the rest of the enemy team. Or trying to drive the tank which didn't seem to want to go in any direction I wanted it to. well, i start the new generation with a xbox 360, but the xbox 360 crash himself for ever, but one thing i love it, when i played gears of war 1, and after i buy a ps3, and i love that machine i never find a game so good, maybe cod4 is similar.
Conclusion, im almost buying a xbox 360 again just to play gears of war 2, what more can i tell??

Genius. Take a shed load of zombies (and then some) mix in some half life and a large helping of gauntlet and you have left 4 dead.
The graphics are solid but not on par with the likes of gears of war but the lighting is excellently done. Multiplayer is at the heart of the game and while solo play gives you 3 computer controlled allies the real fun is multi player. The bots are a bit more useful than many human controlled players will be but when more players cotton on to the fact that going it solo will end in a painful death, the co operative made will actually end up being more co operative. Best enjoyed in games with your online buddies so you can rib each other over the stupid things you do.

You don't need anything more than that in this review.
You 'll play it, you'll like it, you won't regret buy it, but my friend, when you are wondering what is it, that it lucks, this "je ne sais pas", let me open your eyes, lonely friend, sitting in front of your giant HDTV.

IT IS NOT A CULT GAME. It's mainstream this one. After 5 years the world is not the shame. And save some mormon/evangelist or the Mothers United, no one else is shocked or even at the least moved by what the GTA is putting out there.

And it's not just the frame that has changed.

The Soundtrack is not CULT.
Your character is NOT as CULT as it could be, given the Serbian nature.

Im now on my 3rd playthrough on the xbox 360 however its not because it is an entertaining game im just trying to get all the xbox 360 gamerscore from its single player.

Single Player
This game as you may have heard is very slow playing which is true but can be slightly helped by using the bus stations located around the map. However the main story line is stupid written and very repetative and doesnt really allow for much replayability. I also heard that the story was open ended and I beleived this to mean once you had finished you could continue playing on the same character which you cant. I'm sure almost all people interested in this game have played a Bond game before, previously released by EA.
This time around there are no gadgets in the game whatsoever apart from an electronic door hacker, which you don't even get to see, and a mobile phone with objectives and messages on, there is no car driving in it either.

Activision have focused purely on stealth, the cover system, and gunplay, and made a pretty good job of it too, the weapons are top notch, they have a good feel to them, good sounds, and almost every gun in the game can have a silencer fitted, the cover system works really well most of the time, sometimes it can be a bit fiddly, but when you are behind cover you can't be hit, you can blindire over the top, or peek over quickly for a more accurate aim. The first guy reviewing this game pretty much covered all the bases. Likewise i bought fable 2 the same day and it hasnt got a look in since (nor has gears of war 2 for that matter). If you are a fan of the horror/shooter genre this could probably be the best game you have ever played. One minor gripe that some reviewers have over the game is the repetitiveness and similar levels however they miss the point of the game!! Its the claustraphobic, tense atmosphere of being in a mining craft in the middle of space that builds up the tension to unbearable levels and is what will make you jump/scream on numerous occasions!!! Play this with the lights off and surround sound up to the max for a truly awesome gaming experience!!!

From the very first second you start, you'll be blown away. Large scale battles, giant monster and lots of new interesting characters. It is quite possible the best game you will ever play. Forget halo 3 this is the xbox 360. 5 star

If you, like me, felt let down by the over hyped, drastically under-delivering GTA IV then I seriously recommend this to you as a similar themed but much more fun game to get your teeth into.

Right from the start I knew that I was in for a good ride, the first mission is fun and cool, without being too hard or tricky. You also get a good feel for the game during the first mission, unlike GTA IV where your just driving a car around in the dark (what fun!)

From here on in you shouldn't be getting bored or stuck for things to do. Theres alot to buy with the money you earn and a whole world of side missions and escapades to be getting stuck into.
