Let me state from the off, Fable 2 is fantastic. An engaging, lush looking RPG that had me absoltely hooked when I started playing it... For as long as I got to play it... because, so tragically, great though it is, this game is insanely short. Short to the point where I wonder if it was actually finished when it got released. I'll get back to this in a moment.

The good with the game is VERY good though. Great visuals, imaginative designs in the cast and the towns and villages that makes titles like Oblivion look empty and bland by comparison. When I first started this game, I was amazed by the graphics and the combat style. VAT's is just great fun, especially when you get a few levels higher and have skills to blow people in to shreds. Okay, a bit gruesome, but still it's part of the game.

The main quest line is slightly short, but you can easily crank out 30-40 hours playing this game, which for me is a decent amount. The problem with these 30-40 hours is that quite a lot of it you will be wondering around a huge map, trying to work out how to get past rubble. Once you get all the way points on your map, its a lot more fun because there is less walking involved.

Best Rpg of 2008 i think so

First play for me was aprox 25 hours spread across two weeks of my game-time and the main story is complete. And it was great fun.
Like sci-fi ? Fallout 3 is a great place to take your head.
The speech has improved from Oblivion and is far less Generic .
The combat system worked well for me , and after my character gained a few levels found i could battle in real time !

Now for a replay and just focus on the many varied sub-missions

And also i will try and find Dogmeat this time too.

I had no probs with disc check here so thank you Bethesda for trusting the public who still buy games.

Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood (Nintendo DS)

Everything about sonic chronicles hints about it being like the start of a series of books, but if that's the case then Bioware need to pull their socks up next time around. Other reviews have covered the story aspect so I shall cover the gameplay and graphics in more depth. Considering the DS hardware the 3D graphics in the game are pretty well done and for the most part the backgrounds consist of talented artwork as well as even a few cutscenes in the game.

Despite this however the game gives the impression multiple artists worked on the game, in the game menus the characters have more of a modern sonic look while the cutscenes on the other hand hark back to the 2D games more cute look of the characters, not to mention these scenes normally play out more ... Pokemon Battle Revolution (Wii)

I think this is a really good game because you get to play wi fi & battle with others all over the world. After you have battled them you get to collect thier passes and then you can play with thier pokemon in free battle.
I had both the diamond and pearl and played them often on DS so I was very familiar with the game. I thought it was great to be able to download all my pokemon onto the Wii game.
If you don't have a DS with diamond or pearl it would not be fun!

I've been playing EQ2 more or less since its launch and its a great game,but sadly this expansion fall way below the high standards the game has set itself over the years,its very small compared to the last two expansions.

On the plus side all paid for content that SOE released over the years is included in the price and you cant fault that,for the money is a bargain.

So if you're new to the game pick this up and enjoy the delights the game has to offer,its just the latest expansion (the shadow odyssey)itself that fairly poor,but if its new you won't be seeing any of that content for awhile yet anyways.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game of the Year - Platinum (PS3)

Be aware, the PS3 Game of the Year edition has a game breaking bug which cannot be worked around. If you are infected and turn to a vampire you cannot complete the 'Cure for Vampirism' quest due to a bug with one of the NPCs. The only known solution is to get a hold of a copy of the original and use that while completing the quest. Bethesda refuse to comment or patch the problem, despite having already done so for the 360 and PC version. With this in mind, I strongly recommend you steer clear of this title until the issue is resolved.

EDIT Oct 2008: I thought I would update a review to note that a possible work around has been found for European copies. You can bypass the bugged code by loading the game up in a different language that is supported in game like German (ie. ... Read More:

Fallout is not perfect, what is, but it's definitely in the top three role playing games of all time. Personally I, and many others, would put it in the top slot. What makes it so good is that it can be played in many different ways with many different type of characters. You can decide what kind of role you wish to play, and the game will not force you to solve every problem by killing things regardless. (which the majority of RPG's do) The world is well fleshed out and internally consistent which gives an incredible atmosphere. With many different ways to play and choices to make it's a very replayable game.

It can take a bit of acclimatising to, as it's not just an ego massager like many modern games, so stick with it for a bit because the game you'll experience will be worth ... Read More:
