All comments for solo play only. I stopped playing far cry to play this one and to start with I was quite impressed with what I was seeing. All the pad controls were logical (to me), graphics looked good and generally the game play was excellent, loved running around with the flame thrower. Then the stupid bits came in like the enemy AI that allowed me to stand right next to an enemy solider whilst killing the rest of the enemy team. Or trying to drive the tank which didn't seem to want to go in any direction I wanted it to. But the most disapointing thing about this game is its length, when I suddenly found that I had completed it I just sat there and thought oh! was that it. well, i start the new generation with a xbox 360, but the xbox 360 crash himself for ever, but one thing i love it, when i played gears of war 1, and after i buy a ps3, and i love that machine i never find a game so good, maybe cod4 is similar.
Conclusion, im almost buying a xbox 360 again just to play gears of war 2, what more can i tell??

Whilst I agree with some of the reviews here. I do think there is a lot of hype for this game when most people have only played the demo.
Yes this game is well made and great fun to play (for a while). The first few times of playing I really was on the edge of my seat, waiting for the next hoard of zombies to attack me. I have not seen this type of close co-op before in a game and it is very refreshing. The 4 main characters have there own personalities and add a nice touch to the game, also they have a very good AI system.
So all good then?....Well not quite

Genius. Take a shed load of zombies (and then some) mix in some half life and a large helping of gauntlet and you have left 4 dead.
The graphics are solid but not on par with the likes of gears of war but the lighting is excellently done. Multiplayer is at the heart of the game and while solo play gives you 3 computer controlled allies the real fun is multi player. The bots are a bit more useful than many human controlled players will be but when more players cotton on to the fact that going it solo will end in a painful death, the co operative made will actually end up being more co operative. Best enjoyed in games with your online buddies so you can rib each other over the stupid things you do.

The multiplayer for WAW is essentially exactly the same as 4. However, it does have a slightly different feel to it. With 4 the games seemed to focus on a few 'choke points' that revolved around each map. This has all but gone and the battles are now far more liquid. The plus of this is the games intensity has increased. The downside of this is you can now spawn and find yourself surrounded by enemies. Enemies can also wander behind your lines relatively easily, so be prepared to get knifed!

Overall this is another very enjoyable, playable COD.

Having loved both Lego & the Indy films, putting 2 favourites together seemed a brilliant idea. But would it live up to my expectations?
Was I buying a dud? Was it too good to be true?
The marketing hype (as we know) can be a little effusive, with games not living up to the marketing promise.
So I bought a preowned one rather than a new one. Nothing wrong with preowned-you can get real bargains....

I absolutely LOVE this game. Love it, love it love it!!
No blood. No guts. Just good clean fun solving puzzles & whipping lego characters to bits.

As all the characters are beautiful renditions in lego, any "destruction" is shown as a lego character breaking into individual pieces.

You don't need anything more than that in this review.
You 'll play it, you'll like it, you won't regret buy it, but my friend, when you are wondering what is it, that it lucks, this "je ne sais pas", let me open your eyes, lonely friend, sitting in front of your giant HDTV.

IT IS NOT A CULT GAME. It's mainstream this one. After 5 years the world is not the shame. And save some mormon/evangelist or the Mothers United, no one else is shocked or even at the least moved by what the GTA is putting out there.

And it's not just the frame that has changed.

The Soundtrack is not CULT.
Your character is NOT as CULT as it could be, given the Serbian nature.
You don't get all the picko, and the pusi kurac you'd want from him.

Great game

In response to some of the other reviewers I find the driving more of a challenge as I dislike the more arcade-style driving games. I find the shooting cover system works really well and I haven't come across any faults, even though I bought the game the day it came out.

I have given the game 5 stars overall because of the pure beauty of Liberty City. Sure, it may not have the best graphics, but the scenes are magnificent. Only four stars for fun as the off-line play does get boring after a while, but the online play can be mental.

Hope the next game comes out soon, and that it does inherit a mix of IV's beauty and San Andreas's huge map and absolute craziness. A Mercs 2 style "blow everything up" game engine would also be really cool.

LEGO Batman: The Videogame (Nintendo DS)

I wasn't sure what to expect from lego batman as I'm not a fan of the films, but I gave it a try anyway as I previously purchased lego Indiana Jones and loved it. I was pleasently surprised with lego batman. It's fun and for the DS it has good graphics. There are 30 levels to play and you can blay as the hero and save gotham streets or you can play as the villan and make mischief along the way.

There are plenty of characters to earn and buy and special powerups can also be unlocked and purchased with your studs. Not only would this provide hours of entertainment (I have found myself addicted to lego batman) but it is a welcome addition to the lego series.
