I had high expectations of the game, having heard from a number of reviews that it would overtake PES this year (in fact, I think it did that with FIFA 08). I booted it up and played a few games to get used to the new features. It plays great, is much more realistic, and was looking good. So I thought I would get online and see if anyone else was on it already. No online play is a joke. I might play against friends occasionally, but it is all about the online play for me so I'll have to go back to FIFA 08. EA are fools!

Having bought this game, I can say that I was very impressed overall, despite that gameplay can get repetitive. I initially wanted to get the PS3 version but yet again I was put off getting the PS3 console due to more horror stories about overheating etc.
But I was pleasantly surprised to see that the PS2 version is a great quality game (I feared that due to the fact that the PS2 is practically dead now, this was going to be half a game, so to speak).
The story itself was fantastic and really felt that I was part of a star wars movie. I was also happy to see some of my favourite star wars characters either in the main game or as unlockable characters later on, like Emperor Palpatine (who I think is MILES better than Darth Vader as ... the fifa games are rubbish in comparison to madden. The be a pro mode is useless as you can only do one game, whereas superstar mode on madden is much better as you can do a whole career and you just do your player. i have both fifa 08 and madden nfl 08 and i can honestly say that fifa pales in comparison. Franchise mode is 10 times better than manager mode.
Don't waste your money get madden

Does it's job. Saves you memory. Doesn't really ever corrupt data. You need one for PS2's. Simple as that.

I got guitar hero 3 plus guitar for my birthday in April and I am still playing it now. The guitar has a real feel to it but is so much easier to play than a real one (until you get to expert). Anyone can pick it up, do the tutorial , then play it to their hearts content. I did not know many of the songs when I got it but a lot of them are now among my favorite tracks. The graphics on the ps2 are brilliant so the guitarist on the screen really looks like they are playing the song. If you buy two guitars you have lots of additional game options I have bought rock band now but I still play guitar hero a lot. A great game for all ages ( i am in my 40's)

I've tried other controllers for the PS2, and in the end there is no other controller quite like the Dualshock 2. The buttons on other controllers often require quite a conscious effort to use them, but the Dualshock 2's analogue buttons are actually analogue - press lightly and you'll get one response, press a little harder and you'll get another, and so on. The Dualshock 2 seems to last as long as any other controller and is simply better quality, so there's no real competition there.

As for the usefulness of a Dualshock 2 now that the PS3 is out - the Sixaxis controller bundled with the PS3 doesn't have rumble functionality, and a Dualshock 3 with rumble and Sixaxis tilt sensors will currently set you back quite a bit compared to a Dualshock ... Read More:

I love the PS2, and I wouldent give it up primarily because there is a new console coming out.

It's disturbing to see how PS2 gets chucked aside just because it's a few years old! (My mates done this, he has an XBOX... In saying that he didnt have any decent games for the PS2...) Okay, so the graphics are considered as inferior, but that's only because there been compared to a current gen console! Thats not fair. What so ever. Let us not forget that this console is nearly a decade old, and it's still powerful. If it was not as great as people are making out, then why are developers still designing games for it? They are still selling! And for £75, it is a real steal. Literally. Games go really cheap, so you would be mad not to have it.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2)

san andreas is one of the best gta's in the series. the game has amazing graphics although it wont work on the old ps2 on the new one the graphic are quick and smooth and dont slow down during gameplay. In sanandreas the costomisation of your character is incredible as you get him to have a hair cut, buy shoes and clothes, get a tatoo. You are even able to customise cars with hydrolics and nitros. I dont think that the authers of the one star reviews have actually played the game. Buy sanandreas and you wont be disapointed at all.
