I must say, i luv this game. The way pikachu **THE BEST POKÉMON EVER** follows u and is clear for all to see, the start of the game is a major mick take. A lightning pokémon, against a rock gym .... Even if u learn to use tackle etc. u get pwned by his force and if u want to beat Brock ur gunna have to train a mutha futha'ing Pidgey or summin ... it kicks u in the nags b4 uve even got started and u jst rly wanna get going and u have to waste time lvl'ing a stupid rat or sparrow. All i wanna do is make pikachu the uber greatest and get him thru to the end but i no i cant cos i g2 make my pidgey great first. Saying that .. i luv this game and when ur past the first boss its a peice of poop.

Now come on...it's unlikely that you've never heard of Pokemon if you're reading this. And you should all know that this version has 251 pokemon which you need to capture.

You start off as a basic pokemon trainer, as you raise and capture more pokemon you're party grows stronger and evolves as you attempt to become the Pokemon master by beating all the gym leaders and the elite four and finally ??? (I won't spoil it for you).

Basically it's an addictive RPG that involves you raising and capturing pokemon...do you really need a long and in depth review for something so basically addictive. Just buy it.

Pokémon: Blue - Gotta Catch `em all (Game Boy)

Its hard to believe looking back, that this game caused so much of a stir in the playground. Pokemon Red and Blue where a big deal during the mid 90's, and it was the game that really absored kids into a great adventure.
The layout of the game itself is simple, which I guess helped the popularity. But it was more of the objective that took sold the game - you had to become the 'best' pokemon trainer, and this could be done by winning lots and lots fights with other trainers.
I won't even go into what 'Pokemon' are (japanese for Pocket Monsters - hence they are kept in Pokeballs...) but to make it simple, their just creatures that are trained up and used for fighting other Pokemon. On your travels, you can catch Pokemon by using Pokeballs ... Read More:

This game, goes down in my Gameboy history as the best game played to date. Everything in a pokemon game is executed, spectacularly. There is much more features that follow off from the previous versions. Not only are you in Johto-you can go to Kanto aswell. Even though i don't play it much, i will get back into it. Not to mention the amazing, sensationally lengthy hours of play, and the fun yet challenging difficulty, buy this game and you can't go wrong.

Its a shame that i lost mine, i first got the game on the time of release (when i was 9 years old). We all know it is pokemon, they may have an infamous reputation-try this truly epic game out and get ravelled into a world of mystery, battle, quests, adventure, and lengthy hours of play.

Few things to add:
At some points in the video, I was mumbling and at one stage to me it sounded as if I said 360 pokemon, when I said 260, so sorry for any mumbling in the video, things are not what they seem!

Also an addition to my review: Yes the Pokemon Crystal graphics are no way as good as the newer games, but like I said, its all about the classic style, and once you play the game, you definitely will stop caring about the graphics.

If you can't be bothered raising your pokemon up to level 100 well here is the easy way{if you want to} Get any item from your back pack, like a {Rare Candy} put it at the 6th or 7th{sorry a can't remember} place down from the top of your back pack,Go to viridan city, talk to the guy who tells how to catch pokemon{The old man}. You have to be very quick,fly to blane's island surf near the coast of the gym up and down,etc, Then you will find a missingoo and Lv.1-180 it depends, kill it look in your pack and you will have a rare candy and a wierd smybol next to it. You can do it with anything like {Master ball} very good if you want to catch very pokemon,Others Nuggets,Revives,MaxRevives,Ether,.And the best part is you don't have to beat the elite 4 to activate it ... Super Mario Bros - Deluxe (GBC)

this is a remake of the 1985 classic super mario bros that was originally on the nes. 8 worlds, 4 levels in each trying to save the princess. But apart from just a remake it also includes a generous helping of extras. it supports the gameboy printer. there are lots of rewards to collect, there is a challenge mode where you must find things in each level or complete it with a certain score. Then the thing that seals the deal for me is the super hard (yet much easier than it's original japenese release) is the real super mario bros 2 or the lost levels (it's not the one with the vegetables). This is one of the few places we westeners can play this hard sequel to a classic so just this is a reason to buy this game

When I was younger my brother bought a gameboy at a carboot sale along with this game, I thought it was really ace, I would spend hours trying to complete the missions. I recently bought a gameboy advance sp and found mario in the loft. I was suprised to see that I still found it a really amusing game and thought it looked even better in colour. The amazing thing bout gameboy games is how long they last. This game is definately worth buying!!
