Ok so I HAVE had my PS2 memory card for a while now, but it has now started to act up.
A few months ago it lost all my Guitar Hero 3 data, so i had to do it again!! (not a huge problem as i love the game!) But seemed to work afterwards, thinking it was just a glitch i carried on using it but now it has failed again on GH3 and other games aswell.
I will be getting a replacement Sony card as they do last well and are better than other cards for the PS2 but be warned they can fail. (thats not to say they will though) :)

Do NOT buy this! It corrupts all save data after it has been filled with more than 10 mb. It's apparently a very common problem with these. I lost well over 40 hours of gameplay because of this memory card!!!

Most of the time this card has served me well however, with some games (namely "Gun" and "Black") the game won't recognise it, so you cannot save anything. Avoid and go for the official Sony cards.

... but that is the only attraction of this card. You see: yes, you can store all of your game saves on on little card, but it really isn't worth it. Why?
Because the card is horrendously slow. You may want to have some extra space but the difference in saving & loading times is phenomenal, leave alone noticable. A game that should take 4 seconds to save on the standard 8MB Sony Memory Card, may easily take 20 seconds to save with this one. Basically, this card is the definition of quantity over quality, and it's up to you which is most important. Personally, I would recommend forking out the extra money and buying the four seperate Sony 8MB memory cards- the time saved on loading Pro Evolution Soccer replays alone could be spent ... One vital piece of equipment you would need when owning a Playstation 2, is a Memory Card! It's even more worrying if you loose this device, because if you did, all that hard work you did on those long working games you own could be lost forever!

I own a Red and Blue coloured 8MB Memory Card for the Playstation 2. I tend to rely more on the Red Memory Card for saving all of my work, and throughout the time I owned the Playstation 2 I've had no problems since with this Memory Card! It's just the right size for me to play and complete all the games I own!

My Grade For The Memory Card: 8/10: Enjoyable, Fair-Play, Thumbs Up

I own a Red and Blue coloured 8MB Memory Card for the Playstation 2. I tend to rely more on the Red Memory Card for saving all of my work. I use the Blue one for transferring finished game data, in case the Red Memory Card gets corrupted and I loose the data on it. This way, I have it spare on the Blue one, so that I don't loose the data completely. The Blue one is also used for when I take the Memory Card out of the house and when I see friends! You never know what you're friend could do to you're data, so it's best to be safe than sorry! Throughout the time I owned the Playstation 2 I've had no problems since with this Memory Card! It's just the right size for me to play and complete all the games I own!

PLEASE READ THIS IT'LL SAVE YOU A BUNCH OF MONEY AND TIME
Well, before i got this card i read some reviews and only believed the good ones. :-) I WAS WRONG, the first time i had this card it worked for about three weeks. then it lost all my saved games. so i got another one thinking it was just that one card, but that one corrupted all my data after about four weeks. This card is not worth the trouble. I went back to the sony card and it has worked for 4 years!!!! Hope this helped
