As with others I eagerly awaited the release of GTA IV. I'd played all the previous games so there was alot of living up to do.

To be totally honest, when I first started playing this game, I did feel as though it was lacking something. BUT...after giving it some time it has won me over.

The graphics are clearly superb...the best of any game I have played. The driving is fantastic...hard to begin with, but after some time it becomes second nature. After going back onto GTA SA and VC the driving is marginally better in GTA IV.

had this console since nov 2006 and just got the dreeaded red ring and machine no longer working yes i have had this console for a year and a half but only play for half an hour at a time so very annoyed that it has broke down

After having played HALO 1 and 2, number 3 should have been the armageddon of the trilogy...and sadly, it did not work out the way that many people thought, or at least, I did.

The game itself is okay, nothing more. Graphics are outstanding, nice range of weapons, yet it is basically a linear FPS. What I really dislike is the various times 'back tracking' through levels. I guess that close to 50% of the game consists of playing the 'same level' over again, with new enemies and new goals. Yet, you're going through the same environment. Challenging? Not really, it can be, and not really attractively made from a design point of view. I have just completed this game today in single-player mode and would say that it does tend to suffer from repetitiveness after a while and it tends to recover ground you have already fought through at times. The controls for vehicles are a bit hit and miss, and unless you have a rocket launcher, fighting tanks can be a real chore. Unlike Call of Duty 4 however, this game is more playable and I think that is what comes over throughout the game. It may not have the feel of COD4 in terms of atmosphere and the unknown, but it does feel like you are part of 'Kelly's Heroes' in terms of chasing gold. I completed the game in around 4 days in story mode and I am now enjoying the online multiplayer mode which is alot more challenging. Bad or Good..it depends on whether you want playability ... The price is an absolute disgrace and has resulted in a severe customer backlash. There is absolutely no way that the price point can be justified as it is nothing but total greed. There is no way that EA should be legally allowed to sell the product at nearly double the US price!

To add insult to inury I recently discovered that the Rock Band guitar is NOT, I repeat NOT backwards compatible with Guitar Hero 2 or 3 (although the GH guitars do work with Rock Band).

That was the final nail in the coffin for me so I will not be buying this game.

If the UK has any sense at all then consumers will give a giant thumbs down to the pricing and refuse to purchase the game.

In this game you play the throught the storylines of the three original films - sorry, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is not included. Each of the three films has been expanded to try and get more out of each storyline. As an example, in Raiders of the Lost Ark the bar brawl where Indy meets Marion moves beyond the bar into a mountain top level with more puzzles and action. In Temple of Doom there is a really nice level travelling to Pankot Palace where you ride elephants through more puzzles. And in The Last Crusade there is more made from the escape of Indy and his father when they use the motorbikes. first of all i was a bit annoyed at the price, but in the end i managed to get it for £150 including the game, me and my mates couldnt wait any longer.

after playing the game, i can safely say its worth every penny, we've had hours of fun on it, so mch so my m8 is gettin his own so we can battle online.

great thing is, if u get bored playing the drums u cn play guitar...and then mike, and so on, so basically its not jus the same thing over n over like in guitar hero

the song list is pretty damn brilliant, theres a very wide selection of tastes, but not only that, u cn download over 160 songs (at bout 50p - £1.00) each, which wen u tihnk, if u download a song on itunes, it costs that much anyway, so u gettin to play it and listen to it on a game.

I just spent 35 mins a review only to have my computer crash before it was sent.

Needless to say, this is a miss.

The turn based system is far too slow

You cant builds units and builds simultaneously, which means it takes ages to do anything.

Really this has nothing on Command and Conquer, dont waste your money, i'm selling mine

How much of a hit this product will be with you depends on how simple you find it to set your console up to your network.It took me weeks. However, it took me weeks with a D-Link router, to work with with this bridge, and it never worked properly, but it took minutes to set it up with a netgear router. Since then it has worked fine, and opened up X-box live to me. Get it if:
You can't really get wired
You are good with computers and networks or know someone who is
You have a good router ( i recommend Netgear ADSL2)
