If you are considring of buying an Nintendo DS because of all these games that brain games and family freindly games then this is a good starter as you get a ds and an copy of brain training for a good price and you can slowly buy more and more games for it! I would highly reckomend this and deffently consider on buying it if youre into buying an Nintendo DS!!!!

You have to be impressed by the technology and those Nintendogs are so realistic - all the fun of a pet, without the effort!

My 7 year-old wanted a DS, as lots of her friends had them.

As with any computer games, she gets headaches if she stares at it too long. They are also fairly solitary, as it's difficult for more than 1 other friend to crowd round the tiny screen, however they can connect with each other. I can see it being used for a couple of years, then it will have its limitations.

Didn't think much of the brain-training game. If you seriously want to sharpen up your brain, then learn a musical instrument.

I've had my NDS Lite for about eight months now and have never regretted buying it. The Black NDS Lite is so cool - I wish the NDS Lites were available in this colour at the time I bought this. I was initially put off with the bulky original DS, but after seeing an NDS Lite thought I would bite the bullet. I also bought an external see through case/skin and a small hard pouch/case to put the nds lite and its peripherals into it. If your going to spend this much money spend a little more to protect your investment. I'm glad I did - Ive dropped this a couple of times onto the floor some time ago (not recommended!), but the hard crystal case/skin (which i bought separately) appears to have saved it.

The NDS Lite itself is incredibly addictive many games ... Read More:

When I moved to university for my third year I was disappointed to discover I no longer had the ability to wifi as the router of the house I am sharing is set to the WPA security setting. So it was a relief after suffering through a few weeks of wifi withdrawal symptoms (:|) to find out about this baby! It works well on the whole, only occassionally yielding an error message on the game I use it with (Animal Crossing: Wild World) but then I just try again and it usually works; the worst I've had to resort to was a computer restart. Ignore looking up the error codes - they're usually nonsense.
Since I don't really know of any alternatives in my situation I'd have to recommend it if you want to keep your router on the WPA setting (which is more secure than the WEP alternative) but still ... Read More:
