This was the first game me and my sister bought (we went halfers on it) and i have to say we were excited abut it. First, let me say, in my opinion, is good about it...
1) The variety of puzzles: I liked how many different puzzles were in here, especially the maths puzzles (i ot down to 15 seconds for 30 and 45 for 100) and did see a big improvement on my maths. The clock challenge makes you think, but my personal favourite is sudoku. Before, i couldn't get into it, now i love it and i look forward playing to it.
2) The tests: the tests you take beofre you start and during your progress, although you have to enter it manually, and think that it would have been better if test were done in timed intervals.

Since I bought this game for my 4 year old two weeks ago, he does nothing else. He is hooked on the game and now my husband had joined in. They race each other on different ds consoles. Great stuff!!

This a great puzzle pack......BUT I do find it very difficult to get it actually to get to the puzzle or game. The opening list of things to press to tell the DS to start up the chosen game seems to be over complicated.I do sometimes find I spend more time getting the thing up and running, hence have lost much playing time, and I certainly cannot pick it up casually play a short game or do a crossword unless I have plenty of time.Once it is in the puzzle mode all is fine......but then I am loathed to switch it off knowing I will have to go through the whole drama to start it up again !!!!!

I just got this game today and am hooked already. As an older Nintendo fan (40 something), I don't play all the shoot 'em up or beat the clock type games. I like games that I can play at my leisure and think about. This is definitely the one to have. Got it hooked up to my wireless internet easily and was playing backgammon with someone in no time. It's not one of those games where once you play to the end, you're done. Lots of variety and I'm sure it will keep me entertained for hours, days, even months to come.

You get what you're expecting from this game - whether it actually trains your brain or not is another matter. But it's to Dr Kawashima's credit that he's made maths fun!
One problem I've encountered is that it refuses to understand me in the 'speaking' levels - I have a standard (not broad) Scottish accent and it just doesn't want to understand. Having tried my very best comedy Japanese-English and American accents, I have to conclude that Dr Kawashima has it in for me on the speaking games.
Otherwise, it's quite fun, and the progress monitoring lets you see how much better you're getting.

Trying to describe this game to another person is hard, particularly if you want to get accross how addictive and fun it is! I try with friends, 'you go around catching fish and bugs and making friends, buying stuff and doing favours'. To which the usual reply is why? where does it end? Well.. it doesn't! And that is one of the things that I love!! You can do literally what you want to do, collect what you want without having to be tied to a boring 'mission' whose illusive completion prevents you from progressing in the game!
For those who do like a bit of a challenge there is the paying of the mortgage, but this can be done 'as and when' rather than being a necessity. The game is played in real time so at 11pm in the real world the ... Read More:

I was really enjoying playing this game and looking forward to getting past the many weak computer opponents to get to take on the 'big boys' at world championship level. However, when I got there (losing only two games to one opponent on the way) I found that all of the games at world championship level are timed. This would not be such a bad idea for a different challenge if the clock was set at a reasonable amount of time. However against the WEAKEST opponent at world championship level you have only 5 minutes on the clock to get through an entire game! The computer opponent usually moves almost straight away and can lay all its tiles on the board in one go. You on the other hand have no time at all to work on your letters and lose every time because you ultimately ... Read More:

This is a good game, as much fun as Lego Star Wars. In fact, it's the same game in different clothes. But without the satisfaction of the Jedi Slam. My main issue with it (despite the 4 stars) is that it has a habit of crashing silently at the end of levels. Not crashing altogether, but just failing to provide the actions needed to finish the level, so you can keep playing for hours and never find out what you need to do. Very frustrating, and it always happens at the *end* of a level. e.g. today I was playing a level that involved scaring flocks of seagulls. I think the final flock needs to be scared by firing a bazooka at the cliffs, but as I only got one once, got killed, and no soldiers appeared after that, I won't know until I've replayed the level. This happens on ... Read More:
