As a regular visitor to Italy during the last fifteen years, I have been impressed by Cadogans Guides dedication to details. Looking for a reasonable priced hotel in Asti ? - They've got it ! A particular Palladio-villa near Treviso ? - thev've got (and a bar in the vicinity for a quick espresso). And always added with some surprising comments and understated humour.

I have just ordered the most recent edition for "Rome, Naples and Sorrento" for my next trip October 2001.

You will need to read this book BEFORE purchasing a property in BG, also some useful information after joining EU which i have'nt found anywhere else.

My family travelled to Brittany this Summer and were a bit disappointed with this book because we found it difficult to use and not very easy on the eye. The sections are long and heavy on text, so it is sometimes difficult to locate the information that you need quickly.

This is an excellent book, packed with useful advice. We visited all three countries using this one book and found it extremely informative. We used the top 5 recommendations shown for each country and was not disappointed. If you are only spending a couple of days in each country then take this book with you - it will save you a lot of time working out where to go!

I decided to take my six year old to Paris for a long weekend during our stay and used this guidebook to plan a trip that took in so much more than my planned day visit to the Theme Park. I was delighted to find so much to do in Paris with children. The guide was straightforward and easy to access. James helped choose where he wanted to visit from the colour photos. An all round success and well worth the cost of the book !
