My 4 year old son bought this car with his birthday money.
It works intermittently, and when it does (as previous reviews have noted) it drives very slowly and has a huge turning circle.
Ultimately, it is little more than a static plastic replica of Rory, so not worth paying more than a fiver for!

I am another person who remembered having lots of fun with this as a kid.
Bought one for my 4 year old who had a great time moving the pieces, putting arms for noses etc for about 3 days. Since then he has hardly touched it and I can't remember why I have such fond memories either.
Maybe, compared with current toys, its scope is a bit limited. I understand there are add-ons which would increase the permutations but, still, it seems a bit repetitive.

This is ( in my opinion ) one of the greatest board games ever. It is so enjoyable and it is very educational because you really have to strain your brain if you want to do well. I reccomend this and Monopoly as the two greatest board games.

The game is played like this, somebody has been murdered and each player gets a group of cards and then 3 unknown cards are put in a package in the middle. The aim is to find out what those cards are, they must be a person, a weapon, and the room the murder was commited in. At the players turn he/she rolls the dice and then can go into one of the rooms, they can then say, for example 'I suspect colonel mustard, in the drawing room, with the candle stick', the room they say must be the room they ... Scrabble Deluxe

This item is cheap and plastic. I bought it for my partner as a present as we love scrabble, but was very disappointed with the cheapness when she unpacked it, it's not like it looks in the picture at all. However at the same time, unknowing to me my partner bought me Super-scrabble. Buy Super-Scrabble instead, a very good quality item that's even better than normal scrabble.

i got this game for my dad, who is an avid footy fan, and reckons he knows it all anyway, so this was a fab way to catch him out! I got another one of the BrainBoxes for my b'day adn was delighted that there's loads of different versions of the game, so you can make it a really personal gift. This game is really good fun to play in a big group, and great whetehr your with kids, adults or both. It looks great as it's all illustrated, and feels really good quality. I think all the BrainBoxes are recyled material (think that's why the company that makes them is called Green Board Games) so i really like that about this game as well. Buy this game for the footy fan in your life!

Silverlit PicooZ Insecta Helicopter

Got this because my PicooZ had long since died, and even though I've graduate since to a 4-channel co-axial, I missed the little guy. So, got this as a replacement, as I fancied something a little different looking.

As noted by another reviewer, you get no choice in which of the three infrared channels you will receive, which could cause problems if you want to use more than one at a time (is anyone at Amazon listening? Could we have a choice of the A,B or C versions, please?).

It flies great, better than my old PicooZ, but whether this is due to a better design, or simply that my original one got a bit mangled as I learnt, I have no idea: Maybe I had better buy a heli-style one as well, just for comparison purposes, of course ... Read More:

Vtech Kidizoom: Multimedia Digital Camera Camouflage

We bought this camera for our son's third birthday and decided to test it before he knew about it and I'm glad we did as we have sent the camera back for a refund.

The camera is physically ideal - big chunky buttons that are easy to press, screw down covers for the batteries so he can't pull it apart and it's generally quite rugged and kid-proof.

The problem is the use of this camera as, well, a camera. It takes shots that are 640x480 and they all come out looking slightly blurred, if indeed they come out at all. It only really works outdoors during the day; try to use it indoors and the viewscreen is so dark you can barely see anything and the flash is pretty much worthless.

Bonus points! i have had it three times in a go! good game to play when you dont really know what to do with yourself.

I remember when the first version of this game came out in this form when I was a lad and my mum being quite dismayed that a game she used to play with pencil and paper was now presented by little plastic boats and hit and miss pegs!

Nearly 30 years on from that event, my children and I are still getting plenty of enjoyment out of this game and I would heartily recommend this as a great addition to the games cupboard for the whole family.

Where this strategy game works very well is that even if a adult is playing against a much younger child because there is always an element of luck in the hitting of your opponent's ships and a random placement of your ships can work just as well as a much thought out one, the chances of the child beating ...
