Orchard Toys Dinosaur Discovery Puzzle

This is great as it has a "key" of the main animals and plants around the edge with their names, sizes and when they were alive. Kids can learn a bit about the dinosaurs from that, but also use it to find the dinosaurs in the picture once they've put it together.
There's a lot going on in the picture, too, so you can spend time talking about which dinos are vegetarian and which meat-eating, etc.
The colours are bright and attractive (although you might have to explain that no-one knows what colours these animals were).
My only suggestion would be that there could be a booklet or something included to give more information on each species, or even a separate book linked to the puzzle (that Amazon could do a deal on if you bought ... Read More:

Playmobil - Cargo Jet Airliner 4310

We have one of the Playmobil houses, bought at vast expense, as well as this Cargo Jet Airliner. Once assembled (painstakingly!) they look wonderful but as soon as the children start to play with them, they fall apart. It's incredibly frustrating, especially when pieces go missing. If you buy this toy, try using some superglue when you're putting it together...

We have one of the Playmobil houses, bought at vast expense, as well as this Cargo Jet Airliner. Once assembled (painstakingly!) they look wonderful but as soon as the children start to play with them, they fall apart. It's incredibly frustrating, especially when pieces go missing. My 9 month old baby had this toy given for Christmas and absolutely loved it. She used to hold one animal in one hand and another animal in her other hand and she'd take them everywhere with her. My 2nd child adored the farm too and now my 3rd (and last) child is playing with it. It has not changed a bit since the day we had it given even though all of my children have chewed on the animals and the farmer at one time or another. I would have to say though that the ideal age for this toy is perhaps 9 months to 20 months - I cannot image a 3 or 4 year old being interested for more than a day or two.
