Philips AVENT DECT SCD499 Baby Monitor with Travel Pack

We have the previous 'orange' model of this monitor (before Avent paired up with Philips to make this model), and it has been absolutely fantastic for our 1st child. So we bought this new 'blue' Avent/Philips model for our 2nd child, thinking it would be identical. However, rather than provide a continuous link to the baby's room, it only kicks in when a sound is made. This means that you can miss the first part of the noise. Hardly reassuring. In fact, we have heard our child cough from the room below, and the monitor has not picked it up, and has only kicked in AFTER the cough. Bob The Builder Friction Scoop

I have four kids, and they have quite a few of the Bob friction vehicles. They have been played with a LOT and they really do last well. The Scoop has actually had a couple of pieces break off recently - the back support things and the moving part of his scoop (I dont have a clue what the proper names are!) These parts were broken by my youngest who is VERY hard on his toys and to be honest it hasnt bothered any of them at all!

I would highly recommend the friction vehicles - the best thing is, there's no annoying noises and no batteries to change!! YAY!

Elefun - Motorised Butterfly Catching Game

I would echo all the other reviews. Either the butterflies come out in one go (if the batteries are new) or they don't come out at all. It's very tedious having to shake the thing to get them to come out and then having to reshape each butterflies before loading them up again. I wouldn't recommend this at all (we took ours back)

We got it when our wee boy was 5 months and it's got so much on it - crinkly flowers, teething ring with a ladybird and some other creatures on it, crinkly feet & ears with different patterns and textures....but right now his favourite bit is the hook which he likes to chew on!!! I'd recommend this because it lasts due to the different bits of interest - and it's cute too.

This is a good quality product but what a bunch of cheapskates.
Although not described as a room divider here if you want to use it as such you will need to buy the wall mounting kit (if you can find one) separately. This is extremely annoying as although there are 3 pages of instructions on the wall fittings in the user guide it costs £5.90 extra plus £5 postage direct from Safetots (cheaper than via Amazon).
You have to be patient to figure out how to open the hinges but the system works well enough.

This is a 'must have' in my opinion. The cars are very hardy, a great size for little hands and kids love the fact they have faces. Lightning McQueen has been dropped, thrown, trodden on, drowned and other than chips to the peint is just as good as new.
Bargain!!!
