I didnt think this toy was going to be any good,and thought it quite expensive, however it is well worth it, for the amount of hours already it has been played with, my son wanted this after having played with one at a friends house, after my 12 yr old son had opened this on Xmas day, he played with it for 3 hours non stop, and has continued for the last few days with it. It is quite ingenius, though it looks quite flimsy plastic, it is very sturdy, clips and unclips very easily, yet is durable even with several marbles rolling down it at the same time. We looked for something non-standard for our 5-years-old son and finally bought this set. It does not model the appearance of the real-world things. Instead it is ideal to construct the internal arrangements. Surprisingly there are no plain brick blocks with the standard connectors. The parts are round-shaped and are smoothly connected in different ways. (One possible connection is by 4 thin pins - I'm not sure whether they will not be broken soon.) The real value is the possibility to assemble a system with the gears turning in two or more planes and connected either directly or with an oblique shaft.

Our box included two manuals with 3-4 examples and step-by-step assembling figures. That does not look enough for 270 pieces. But after ... Read More:
