This toy looks absolutely beautiful,very life-like of a golden retriever puppy. However the mechanics are far from great,they are very noisy and very "rachety" we had our puppy only a day and during that time he was only "working" a few times then he laid down by command something made a very loud noise in his back and he couldn't get up again,presumably something had broken,which I was very annoyed about as he is expensive and for that sort of money you don't expect the "puppy" to break in such a short space of time and particularly as it wasn't a child that had it. We also noticed that although he did the 6 commands he didn't necessarily do them when he was "told"to, he basically did what he wanted.!a bit like our "real" golden retriever!!. ... Read More:

Top Trumps - Horses & Ponies

My daughter loves Top Trumps and is mad about horses. Obviously, this colours my review!
The photos of all the horse breeds are good quality and nicely down with both a mini pic of the whole horse and the large picture mainly of the head. The categories are interesting and pretty accurate although a little subjective in places! The category regarding the horse's relative beauty has caused some fierce debate in our house.. The addition of a unicorn and a pegasus also proved a little contraversial and became coveted cards for our 5 yr old (who wants to be a unicorn when she grows up...)

Buckaroo

This is a classic gamic which I remember being brilliant from childhood. The theory of it is brilliant, load items until the donkey throws them off but this version is cheap, tacky and it doesn't even buck unless you prod it roughly once all the items are on. The items to load are all very poor quality.
The mechanism to reset the donkey is also difficult to operate.
Another game which has been completely ruined by poor production and cost cutting.
Don't waste your money on this version. If you have a very young child 'Bounce Bounce Tigger' is much better quality and works slightly better than this game.

Monopoly Here & Now Electronic Edition

The world has gone mad, I'm 26 and I would say I learnt a lot through many of these old games which required a little brain workout. Buy the classic version; it's great fun and you'll actually get to use some brain power :)

In The Night Garden - Iggle Piggle Dancing Plush

We bought dancing Iggle-Piggle for our little boy for Christmas and like others we were disappointed. There is supposedly some kind of sensor in Iggle-Piggles hand that recognises that he has his blanket - this didn't work on ours, it didn't work on the second one we exchanged it for either! This coupled with the painfully slow reaction times and the uncuddliness of Iggle-Piggle meant he went back to the shop. Can't say we are missing him!

My family enjoyed the show so I decided to try the game. I think a board game should be able to be played again and again but with this game I found very boring after a few goes. I think the show is exciting because its real money so the player really cares if they get to the next round but when playing this game you find you do not give two hoots if you get through or not. Theres no excitment element to it and we all found it boring as hell through out playing. Not great in my opinion.
