Based on the great reviews for this, I bought one for my son's 4th birthday as he loves music and construction. He was very excited and couldn't wait to build the designs in the book - and his own too. Except that the pieces don't all fit nicely together. As they are too loose, we have not been able to make many of the more complex designs - the pieces don't stay in place unless we make and keep it on the floor.....but then you can't blow it! However, he has played with it for a little bit as he just leaves the pieces in the box that don't fit properly (6 of them, which amounts to quite a bit if trying to make an instrument) or patiently keeps on righting the falling piece in his construction. i purchased this product online for my 3yr old for xmas,was disappointed when i tested it out,it didnt recognize half the sheets,and it kept saying the wrong titles for most of the other half,obviously i saw this as a bad one off purchase so i went and got another from the actual shop instead of online-and was soooooo happy when i put the sheet in and it recognized it,BUT then,i went to press onto a pic and found that the pen didnt work,as i still had the other wiz kid at the time,i tried the pen from that one,BUT NO,still no joy,it has put me right off the product now,im going to send them both back and look for something else,good luck if you purchase one of these that actually works,i am giving up!!!!!!!!

i purchased this product online for my 3yr old for xmas,was disappointed when i tested it out,it didnt recognize half the sheets,and it kept saying the wrong titles for most of the other half,obviously i saw this as a bad one off purchase so i went and got another from the actual shop instead of online-and was soooooo happy when i put the sheet in and it recognized it,BUT then,i went to press onto a pic and found that the pen didnt work,as i still had the other wiz kid at the time,i tried the pen from that one,BUT NO,still no joy,it has put me right off the product now,im going to send them both back and look for something else,good luck if you purchase one of these that actually works,i am giving up!!!!!!!!

One of the best musical toys I have bought for my son and certainly one of the cheapest. At 3 and a half he could not wait to get his hands on it and soon learnt to play twinkle, twinkle little star by memorising the coloured keys. He still loves to play it seven months later.
