This is a great one for engaging my 5 year old's interest, who loves watching Scooby Doo on the TV anyway. Introduces new, slightly more challenging vocabulary and we love taking turns reading out loud. The quizzes at the end of each chapter are a good way to develop comprehension.

This is a great one for engaging my 5 year old's interest, who loves watching Scooby Doo on the TV anyway. Introduces new, slightly more challenging vocabulary and we love taking turns reading out loud. The quizzes at the end of each chapter are a good way to develop comprehension.

After a short time the guitar would not work if the sunglasses were plugged in - disappointing. Also the pre-recorded tune is a very tinny sound which made everyone wince!

The xylophone is sturdy and my grandson enjoys bashing it, but 2 of the blocks play the same note so you can't get the remotest tune out of it. It entertains the lad, but it isn't what you expect it to be. Pity really.
