Before I bought this toy for my grandson's 12th birthday, I'd read the mostly adverse reviews and tried to disuade him from having one. However, he insisted, so I went ahead and bought one for him, expecting to resort to the old, familiar "I told you so!" very soon after.

I was never more pleased to be proved wrong! The day after his birthday, he phoned and made me promise to write a glowing review! He'd got it up and running himself, in no time at all, and had already got his younger brother doing a 'fly by' with Dr Who's Tardis! It seems he had just one slight problem when the camera wasn't recognised, but he re-installed it and everything worked fine.

We brought this for our little boy with his christmas money,who is 2,three in march.I was a little sceptical about spending this sort of money on something that could be great or not so.I saw it on offer and eventually decided to get it.Christmas day came we put in the batteries and everyday since,my boy has been on it.I can glady say its fab!He now knows most of his letters and all of his numbers so as far as the educational thing goes thats a 10 out of 10 for me.We also brought him the Thomas game which he loves,he sometimes struggles with the mouse but with abit of practice he'll be fine.
The only thing i would say is to buy the adapter,were still on our first lot of batteries but it is definately cheaper in the long run.

UB Funkeys are Great. They are the best game for the PC and they are going to be THE game to get this Christmas! They are for any age from about 6 up, my little sister likes playing and so does my Mum! You get a big Funkey (the hub) that plugs into the USB port of your pc and then there are loads of other other smaller Funkey characters to collect, which sit on the shoulders of the hub (really cute). You play the game, creating a virtual world with different areas and games for each of the different types of Funkey. You have your own Crib which you decorate and fill with different items you pick up along the way as you play the game. Its really fab and really addictive and all my friends want one!
