We recently started playing games with our friends and particularly enjoyed the ones with Spiel de Jahres honours. This one however was not a winner I believe, but its fantastic!

We have had hours of fun with this game and has left us argueing for hours about who ruined the other persons chances of victory. Its even left us playing on a Friday night when we really should be doing something less sad.

Im not really a train fan but the playability of this game is what makes it so good. Its easy to learn and is different every time you play.

If you play games like settlers, then this one is a definate to add to your collection!!!!

BRIO 33223 Wooden Railway System: Mighty Red Action Loco

Both of our sons love their Brio trains and track and so we thought we would buy a second battery train so the youngest could enjoy one. The other train (BRIO 33761 Wooden Railway System: Smart Track Engine) worked very well, was well designed and durable.
This train, however, has a flaw - the battery cover on the first train had a locating pin to stop the cover sliding forward and make it secure when it was screwed down into place. This one does not and as a result my wife cannot fit it at all and I have spent half an hour getting it to work. I take this type of equipment apart and put it back together again for a living and I can't do with this model what comes naturally with the earlier one!
Bad show Brio!

Thomas & Friends (My First Thomas) - Talking Thomas

I bought this for my 3 month old nephew. He is now 18 months and it is one of his favourite toys. The speech is in UK english and there are a variety of different sayings.

As the train is pushed along it makes a steam train noise so I didn't have to look for my nephew, I heard him coming.

The only downside is if like him you keep using it a lot the batteries run down. An excellent toy overall and it keeps your little one active.

Take Along Thomas - Bridge Accessory Pack

Please note, this comes with a new style track that is not compatible with the older (2005) Take along Thomas sets like the engine shed. These newer style track packs come with adapters to allow them to be joined but only 2 per pack. This means both bridges have to be linked and you cannot use the trestles unless you have extra track in the new style.
