Tonka Light & Sound Fire Truck
I bought this for my son a couple of weeks ago and he has not put it down since. It is made of durable plastic with 4 different sounds that can be played when the button is pressed, or rather pushed down. It is not too loud... but loud enough, unlike some toys which can be heard down the street! The front doors of the cabin both open... one on either side. There is one ladder on the top that extends and another on the side that can be removed... this is held in place by a catch that moves easily...means it doesn't just drop off. I have to say I think that this is a really good value for money toy that actually seems as if it will last... it has already crashed into the wall and come away unharmed. A definite ... Read More:

Our three year old son has two of these, one with the sound effects and one without. He and his friends have played with them a lot however we have been really disappointed with how unsuitable they are for the age group that they are aimed at. He finds it extremely difficult to get the figures in and so we end up constantly having to do it for him. Also, the doors are flimsy, thin plastic so the window frames have snapped off, and also part of the platform has broken. It has definitely been good for developing his role play skills, but other than that I would hesitate to recommend it.

Another excellent character to add to the take along range. My two year old son simply loves them. Jack is also magnetic, just like the trains. Very durable, have had no problems so far and it has been thrown around enough.
