Suitable for age 8+ A great way to explore the realm of make-up artistry. The kit includes 22 colour make-up palette, make-up brushes, applicators, pencils, colour chart and preview wheel and a full-colour make-up guide. Great value for money and so much fun!Make Up Artist Sketch Book
My 3 year old girl got that as a present and she was initially thrilled with the novelty of it. The colour doesn't run so it's "mess free" colourwise but as the paste in the pots is grease, everything gets greasy. The sponges also need regular wash as my daughter used the same sponge for all the colours and later pictures ended all orangy..It's a nice novel idea, but a greasy one too, so I'm not very impressed. Also my daughter stopped using it as soon as the novelty weaned...4 stars for the novelty of it...Crayola keep trying...
I bought this as a small 'top up' gift for my son's 6th birthday - he loves it, even though the end product is a little bit of plastic in the shape of a dinosuar that's only and inch or so long...
His two-year old sister really went wild for it too, and has kept it under her pillow all week.
So although it's nothing special as far as us adults are concerned, it has something about it that kids really go for.

I bought one of these for my 7 year old daughter before I saw the rather negative review here on Amazon. I was worried that I had bought a rubbish Christmas present, but was pleasantly surprised.
It took a few minutes to set up the first time but my little girl got to grips with it very quickly. The eyepiece comes with a removable cover which blacks out one eye. Out of the box, this cover is fitted and that's how we used it. If you remove it and use both eyes it seems to be much trickier to use, which sounds like the problem that the other reviewers were having.
You do need to be careful to keep still while tracing, but it is not too difficult to realign the projected image if you need to take a break.

Ah... Crayola... what will you think of next? This one's a winner for many reasons. The concept is brilliant in that the children can use markers (like they see their older siblings doing), but are not able to ruin the walls, sofa, etc. in the process. You use clear ink markers to color the book and the colors appear as you draw. The color is in the pen, not on the paper, so it does leave some creativity to your children in choosing what colors they want to use where. I took this with me on a recent plane trip as a "keep busy" toy... no marking up the plane seats and it kept the kids busy for a while. I do hope that Crayola expands on this product to include more books, as mentioned in a previous review. Great CLEAN fun!!!!
These pens are fantastic. My little boy is 2 and he has no trouble with these. We gave up on crayons and pencils as all he wanted to do was chew on them when teething but he has never tried that with these. The tips are pads and not actually pen nibs which means when he stabs onto paper it causes no damage unlike nibbed pens where the nib would disappear inside. The best thing of all though - superwashable. It doesnt matter how much he gets on his hands or other surfaces, this ink wipes off very easily using baby wipes or just soap and water. I tried a supermarkets own brand of these and regretted it as struggled to wash the ink from his hands. He can get lids off easily and they provide hours of fun for him and easy for us to join in and teach him ... Read More:
