Flying Alarm Clock

Overall it is dissapointing item. According to the description the little helicopter-like part of the clock should fly around the room. Because the alarm is very loud and it doesn't stop till you replace that piece in theory you should be forced out of the bed to find it. However in practice the "flying piece" starts spinning rising about 10cm off the clock and falls onto the floor. So at the end you can easily switch it off without getting out of the bed. The idea is brilliant but it doesn't work...

My son found this himself when my husband took him to the toyshop for his 3rd birthday and I can not recommend it highly enough. I think it is one of the best toys on the market for this age group.
He is 3 and 4 months and has now learnt to tell the time! He used to come into our room at 5.00 am and now he knows that if the clock is not showing 7.00am he goes back to bed!
I have a one year old who also loves to push all the buttons and watch the Thomas pop out of his shed and trundle round the track till he reaches the small hand on the clock showing the time.
Very clever, well thought out, interesting, educational but fun toy. Brilliant!

LED Lenser Police Tech Focus Torch Blue

The Police Tech focus torch is a solid design and feels very comfortable in the hand. It's a fraction wider in diameter than your normal Maglite but is shorter in length. The overall size of the torch is larger than what I was expecting and is about the size of a thick marker pen so won't really fit on your keyring. The on/off button is located at the opposite end to the torch light and is very easily accessible, even when in a holster. The torch came with a reasonably sturdy nylon weave holster that slides on to your belt but I ended up buying a different clip on holster. I bought this for my son for Christmas.He was thrilled with it until 3 hours later when we took a walk at the park and the buckle and pin fell out (and no he wasnt running around climbing ect)and unfortunately landed in dog muck so couldnt be rescued.Having had a hectic time since,i havent been able to send it back to amazon and now we are left with a watch which cant be worn until a replacement buckle and pin can be found to fit the watch. On the plus side everything else about this watch is great,the design is fun though if your child can't tell the time yet then its not the best starter watch for them as there is no numbers on there other than 12,6 and 9. 3 is replaced by a dalek.
