I bought this for my little boy for his 4th birthday recently and we all love it! It's our first playmobil item and I was a little skeptical that it could be worth £30 but it has earned every penny of it in the first 2 months alone.
There is stacks of stuff included in it and as ever with playmobil some of it is extremely tiny. I have a 18 month old as well and I do have to watch that none of it goes in her mouth.
The top comes off so they can play with them inside and the attention to detail is amazing - tiny little holder for mobile phone, pull out shower and tap - cute little toilet. I thought it was worth mentioning the fact that jacks front bucket also features the smart magnet technology used in the Learning Curve Take Along Thomas toys.

This means Jack can effectively hitch up to the other toys in the range, or as my three year old discovered, pick up pennies or paper-clips with his bucket.

VTech Nursery Rhymes Book

This VTech Nursery Rhyme Book compares poorly with the equivalent models from other manufacturers because
i) The singer can't sing.
ii) Only the first two lines of the nursey rhyme are sung.
Having said that, baby doesn't really notice and loves it anyway!

Buy the Fisher-Price Storybook Rhymes instead is my recommendation.

Take Along Thomas & Friends - Spencer

I cannot rate these little trains high enough!! They are beautifully made and easy to fit together as they now have magnets on. They are durable and withstand plenty of throwing about by my two year old. He also has a wooden thomas track but much prefers his take-along-trains which he does always make sure he has at least one with on his travels!! I feel the toy helps hugely with his imaginative play he also knew all the trains names before his 2nd Birthday. He is slightly obsessed!!! Fab toy recommend to any little boy or girl who loves cars and trains. Well worth the money as will last for years to come.

VTech V.Smile TV Learning System - Orange New (bundled with Winnie the Pooh)

My two children have had brilliant fun with this console. Ideal for 3 upwards. The Winnie the Pooh game is one of the best games available for this console and two years on my daughter is still playing it. The music is nice too - not the usual discordant jangling one expects with this sort of game. The Toy Story game is great too, as is Nemo, but I'd give Shrek and Spiderman a miss if I were you.
