Original Rubik's Cube

I first got a Rubik's cube when they came out in the early 80's and absolutely loved it. I used the first one so much that I had to buy a replacement within a couple of years. The action for these cubes was fantastic. 'Clicky' 'tight' but so easy and smooth to turn. Even though I could eventually solve the puzzle in a couple of minutes, I've never tired of it.

I was really pleased when they started to produce the cube again and was keen to buy a new one. I bought a new cube and was dismayed to find that the action and build quality was terrible. I actually dug out my remaining original cube to try and see what the difference could be and saw that the original design had little areas where the inner surfaces had open pockets or gaps. ... My son is 5 and although he finds the jigsaw challenging he loves every second he spends doing it plus it is one of his favourite things in the world at the moment. I think this item is well worth the money.

if crazy bones frenzy taken over in your childs school these little plastic things will make your child love you forever - well, til next craze, anyway, they (children) make up their own games with them, love collecting them, swapping etc, but look out for local shops that sell them for a little cheaper, plus your child gets them right away, no waiting, which always seems to appeal with mine ;)

Peppa Pig Shaped Floor Puzzle (15 pieces)

My 2 year old daughter LOVES this puzzle. After the first few times with us helping she has quickly learned where all the pieces go and will do it over and over again. The large pieces are very sturdy and withstand being walked over and trodden on.

my son was desperate for this and all the shps had run out but by the time is arrived school had banned all crazy bones and so he lost interest imediatly as 5yr olds do

The best fun we have had in years. Simple instructions. Great family game. Words can be as long or as short as you want. Children enjoy playing. We played in three teams of two as a variation of the game and it worked well.

Orchard Toys Who's In The Jungle? Puzzle

my two year old son and I love doing this puzzle (not that he needs any help) - it's perfectly designed (as are all Orchard Toys puzzles) so that the animals are fun to find and there is so much to talk about too.
i agree with the other review - we'd love the same level of detail but with more pieces.

This game was bought for an 8 year old who had great fun with it.

Each turn you are told by the Onmitrix what alien you will be and hopefully thats the one you need to defeat the villain.

Whilst not particularly educational, it is a game that children play as a group, so its good for social interaction and learning to take turns.
