I was going to buy this for my son for his 1st birthday but my mother in law wanted to get it. Being a complete techno phobe she drove half way round the UK trying to locate this as it was in 2005 the most popular toy to buy. As soon as i assembled it i could see what poor quality it is and had i purchased this myself i would have taken it back for a refund straight away but due to the effort she had put in i didn't feel i could. As per the comments above the feet fall off, the light pull comes away in your hand, the orange ball shoots on the side fall off also as does the roof. Baby Einstein - Colour Kaleidscope

I bought this product after visiting a friend who had one. I think it is fabulous! Firstly, it helped my baby sit up because of the shape and size (it fits neatly between her feet and she was able to lean on it when she needed to). Secondly, even though she doesn't pull on the handles herself yet, she loves it when I do to hear the music and see it light up. The fact that baby can learn primary and secondary colours in a variety of languages is wonderful. I am teaching her how to pull the handles and I repeat the colours when they are said to encourage language development. (The kaleidscope is the light and it changes colours depending on which handle or combination of handles is pressed.) The range of music is lovely too.

Soft Play Playnest & Gym

I recently purchased the Galt playnest with gym and am extremely disappointed. I love the nest as it provides a soft comfortable support for my daughter, however the plastic pipes which form the framework for the gym are too rigid to create an arc and keep popping out which makes the gym collapse. My daughter (12 weeks) isn't even old enough to reach the toys so it's not as if it is recieving ANY pressure - it still collapses. I wish I'd read all the reviews before I bought and am shocked that Galt haven't rectified the problem given that clearly so many people have found the same issue. It's almost as if they designed it but never actually tried to put it together themselves.

New Jumbo Touch Sensitive Musical Keyboard Play Mat

I was pleasantly surprised when this toy arrived. It was larger than I expected and made of heavy wipe-clean plastic so there will be no problem with stains and dirt.

There is a demo mode so that children can listen to a tune, only one tune but for the price you cannot really expect more. There are several different instruments sounds. There is a record button so that the little ones can record the sounds they are making and then play them back. They can either use their hands or walk on it.

I must confess to having quite a go on it myself (do we ever grow up?). As for durability I cannot really say. My Grandson will not be getting it until his birthday. I know it will get a lot of use but have yet to see how it will ... Read More:

My son has the dinosaur tub which we did not buy through Amazon, but it is the same item. He loves them and plays with them a lot. So much so that I am getting him the other sets too, farm and fish. They are great for kids aged 3yrs, small enough to hold in each hand. One comes everywhere with us. Good toy and idea.

I bought this for my little boy who is nearly 4 months old. Immediately I was really pleased with the quality of this item, its really colourful and the hanging toys have a lot to capture little ones attention. I've washed the mat in the machine on a cold wash with no problems too which is very useful. At the moment, my baby particularly likes the mirror when he's on his tummy and there is a nice flower teether toy for chewing. The other great thing is that this is a really portable gym, it folds and unfolds really easily so he's been able to play with it when we are visiting other people. Its been a good purchase for us.

At the stage when babies are starting to take an interest in their surroundings this is very good both educationally and for fun. If your baby can prop themselves up on their elbows and lift their heads when you put them on their front, then they will get a lot out of this toy.
We put our daughter on her front with this toy just under her nose. She was mesmorised. Plus points are:
1) Loved the sloshing of the water when she moved her arms.
2) Loved looking at the little stars and squiggly shapes moving around in the water.
3) Enjoyed the sensation of the cold surface when freshly filled with cold water.
