Sun Jar

I was recently given a sun jar as a birthday present and I love it. It sits in my front window, which gets the sunlight during the day, and many of my neighbours have said how cosy it is to see it glowing away there after dark! I am planning to get one for the back garden now as well, and a couple more as Christmas presents.

Absolutely superb present for the kids that amazes them and provides daily interest as they watch the tiny caterpillars transform into butterflies over a few weeks.

The kit contains a colourful pop-up enclosure with a feeding pipette and a coded voucher to redeem for a couple of quid for 4 or 5 tiny caterpillars. They can't put live caterpillars in the box of course. The voucher must either be sent by post or the code used on the Insect Lore website. I went for the web option used PayPal and effortlessly received the caterpillars within 2 days. You are sent a small clear plastic jar with half a cm of some kind of fatty substance at the bottom. Galt Folding Trampoline

I bought this for my four year old son and I must say it was money well spent. He absolutely loves it and is never off it - in fact we had to buy a little timer so that he would occasionally stop playing on it and do something else! It is lucky that we opted for the folding model as we can put it away from time to time to give other toys a chance. Initially I was slightly worried that a folding trampoline might be less sturdy than an ordinary model but those fears have proved to be completely unfounded. It's a solid, well made toy.

The only problem I had was that the elastic bungee cord, after around six months of (admittedly rather intensive) use, frayed and broke. However I was able to replace it by going on Galt's website and ordering ... Read More:
