When I first got this, I was initially disappointed at the size. The picture doesn't really give you an idea, and I suppose I was thinking the train itself would be chunky and big. In fact, it's a fair size, but quite dinky. The loop, when setup, is about 12" across and the train is about 3" long.
This is quite entertaining for the kids. Mine got it when she was 9 months old, and she still plays with it, even if it's only for a few minutes at a time.
Praise first - great for teaching them to concentrate (getting the train on the track is difficult for a littl'un), VERY VERY durable (ours has been smashed apart a million times and it always clicks back together again), teaches them ON and OFF (as they get older you can ... Read More:

Its now almost a month since i started playing with this puzzle and as yet have not completed it. After seeing it on Dragons Den i was completely intrigued and being a fan of the old rubiks cube i thought this would be something I could master pretty quickly. How wrong could i be!
My first plan of attack was to carefully lift the puzzle out of the box and study it to see if i could memorise where some of the blocks had to go. This was fine until my 4 year old decided to 'help'. Since then i have tried all different ways but I always seem to be just one piece away from succes.
I would reccommend this puzzle to anyone who has a little patience .

I have had a puzzle for 15 years. A Lot of the time it has sat in a cupboard becasue I hate it. I take it out, dust it off and try it again every so often. Still cant crack it. I dont know what it is, I dont have this problem with other puzzles. In fact, I like to think of myself as rather good with puzzles of all sort, in particular the tactile variety. I have lent it to family, to friends to work mates. No one has every put all the pieces back in the box and been able to fit the lid. Acutally I dont really hate, its actuall very good. No, come to think of it I do hate it. LOL.
So, if you like a challenge, this is IT. It looks simple, but its pure evil.
We had the winnie the pooh mega blok train given as a first birthday present. The set is still being used over 2 years later and only seems to become more of a favourite over time. The movement and tunes played are first enjoyed by the younger child. Then simple linking of carriages and changing the 'driver' interest the child. Later, building the shops and imaginative play mean this toy is a real winner.
Additionally it has been dropped several times on hard floors and appears unharmed. I am just about to buy this set for my nephew.
