This is the ultimate board game. Its the first board game focused on war I bought and once you get your head round the rules you'll have fun! Risk is just utter brilliance! Its easy to understand the rules and doesn't take to long to understand the rules. Its a fun game to play if you have a lot of people over.

Its a game for heavy fun with friends that is guranteed to produce many laughs, perhaps a few minor arguments and a tad of frustration.

But overall, great fun and boy its got to be in your games cupboard.

I find the naivety of the "I lost because I rolled a 4..." comment startling.

I loved this game as a child and played it often, I now have children of my own and we play it. In all the hundreds of games I have played over the years only a very small percentage was bad luck the deciding factor in the game and I cannot think of a single game when a game was won because of good-luck. There is an element of chance in the game but there is far and away more skill and strategy than chance.

Any player that is out because he rolled a 4 rather than a 5 had probably lost the game a long time ago and that was just the killing blow. Perhaps he had overstretched and was caught out or perhaps another player had risked his fortune by investing ... Read More:

Yahtzee The Original Dice Scoring Game...in a Portable New Arena

Great game to play even with just two people. Easy to store and helps your Maths skills( adding up!) You need to get all combinations of dice on your score card and if all the numbers on the dice are the same then you have YAHTZEE! Bonus points! i have had it three times in a go! good game to play when you dont really know what to do with yourself.

Connect 4 is a classic game. It's essentially a more complex version of Noughts and Crosses, but with gravity dropped (!) in. You have to drop your pieces down the slots in turns, and create a line of four in a row. At first, it sounds simple, but there are skills - creating traps and forcing your opponent into them. It is a game I have played literally thousands of times and it never gets tired.

My boyfriend was bought this as a present when he changed career to train as a doctor. We thought it was a pretty funny joke gift but that was all - didn't expect it would be fun to actually play as adults. How wrong we were! It was brought out one evening over Christmas (after we'd had a few sherries!) and proved to be hilarious. Try keeping your hand still after you've had a few and you'll see what I mean! It brought out the competitive nature of some of the guys in the room too, who couldn't help getting frustrated with their inability to use tweezers (women have an advantage here!) and mocking each other for repeatedly setting off the buzzer. Bop It Extreme 2

This is a great because it has 3 different modes and it is very addictive. Apart from being addictive because it is so fun and rythmic, it is also addictive because when you have got a really high score, you will constantly try to beat it, just like I did ;). I don't know whether this is just me, but I think bopit can improve your rythmic skills because you are following the commands in time with the music.
It can become annoying to others while you're playing it but this has a ear-phone plug, very convienient.
