My 1st Scalextric Set

When the track and cars are working well my 3 year old boy and 6 year old girl love it. But I have to say that I spend a great deal of time putting the cars back together. One car more than the other seems to come apart a bit too easily and then I have to keep spending time putting it back together. And then you have to get it just right or the cars won't go round the track properly. It comes with crash barriers that don't go on very easily and then come off and seem to hinder the cars. Yes the track does fit together quite easily but little boys like taking things apart and you can't let them do that or it will wreck the track. Micro Scalextric - Transformers Set

I bought this smaller scale scalextric as some of the others are far more expensive. It was a popular xmas present for my son who is 9, and was also popular with his friends. Cars can frequently come off the track though, probably because kids tend to pull the trigger full on! Overall good fun. Comes with 2 transformer cars which are quite small and fidly.

Problem is the cars change change lanes and drive on the same lane, they can drive in opposite directions, its like bumpers cars and these can't take the beating that any kid would give this type of toy.
