This an amzing album. Although it is not released you can hear most of the songs on youtube. I DONT CARE IS AMAZING and so is HEADFIRSTSLIDE INTO COOPERSTOWN.

I bought this album on the strength of Lights Out, and am really pleased with it. I would give it five stars but there are maybe 3 or 4 weak tracks but I don't mind that. I would rather have 8 quality fresh experimental tunes and 3 or 4 that miss the mark, than 12 tracks of boring averageness.
For less than a fiver it's a bargain, just take a chance and get it.
'You'll find a way' is brilliant and my current pick of the bunch but I tend to change my mind as I become more familiar with albums - in a month I may prefer a different track.

I'm married but when we went to see Pink live in Nottingham me and my female friend both walked out and said she could "take" us down the other path if you get my drift (& not married herself).
She is an amazing show woman, she's sexy, daring, has an exquisite voice!!! Need I go on!!
I've seen the Try This and I'm Not Dead tours live and she just keeps getting better!!!
I've only just bought this and the Try This dvd (Jan 08) but I can't wait to watch them!!!! Enjoy!!

I think this album is a transitional one for Sigur Ros. They've become a band that had a specific sound and they were no doubt aware that they needed to develop their style to avoid stagnation.
With their latest release there are clear signs that the band wanted to make a different kind of a record. The songs are shorter, more acoustic sounding and generally more upbeat. They've tried to rely less on tried and tested ways of working and moved towards spontaneity and improvisation.
At least half of the album sounds a little different for Sigur Ros especially with the single "Gobbledegook" with its tribal drumming, hand claps and chanting. A couple of the tracks almost border on indie pop which would have been very out of place on the "( ... Read More:

WERE THE DC5 AS GOOD AS THE RECENT ARTICLES I HAVE READ SUGGEST?
WERE THEY THE NEXT BEST THING TO THE BEATLES AT THE TIME?
ER NO!! AS THIS RELEASE PROVES.
LIKE MANY I REMEMBER THE MAIN HITS, BITS AND PIECES, GLAD ALL OVER AND CATCH US IF YOU CAN, AND THEY WERE GREAT POP SONGS. BUT AFTER THAT I REMEMBER VERY LITTLE AND I DID GROW UP IN THE SIXTIES. THIS RELEASE PROVES WHY. IT CONTAINS A NUMBER OF AVERAGE COVER VERSIONS AND SOME MEDIOCRE ROCK AND ROLL COVERS THAT LACK THE PASSION OF THE REAL THING. THE SOUND IS AVERAGE, THE COVER IS TERRIBLE AND THERE IS A C.D. BOOKLET THAT PAYS HOMAGE TO DAVE CLARK, I.E. DAVE DID THIS, DAVE DID THAT, BUT PAYS LITTLE ATTENTION TO THE REST OF THE BAND. VERY LITTLE BAND HISTORY, NO RELEASE DATES AND NO U.K./U.S.A. CHART ... Read More:

Yet another greatest hits album, but what the hell, this contains every decent track he has ever recorded. Many collections are padded out with gastly stocking filler tracks, not this one. I must admit that I really liked at least 20 of the tracks on this. Enough said.

It is very difficult to approach this album with anything close to objectivity. I have been a big Queen fan for close to twenty years now and, in my opinion, Queen without Freddie just wasn't an option and, after Brian, Roger & John dismissed rumour after rumour of replacing him with a plethora of different front men, I thought that Queen had all but been laid to rest. Then, of course, I heard that they were touring with Paul Rodgers on vocals and, to be honest, I was slightly nonplussed and had no interest in going to see them live. However, when news came of a new studio album with brand new songs - well, now I was interested. I still object to the use of the Queen name - without Freddie and John, it is tantamount to Paul & Ringo getting together with Elvis Costello ... Read More:

This CD is excellent! I think it is the best Snow Patrol so far, and I really like Snow Patrol. Every song is a winner! I am absolutely addicted to this CD--I have to listen to it everyday.

Well, I was there at the gig in MK and it was amazing, so have been waiting AGES for this to come out, and it finally came today :)
When the DVD started up, the audio was a bit distorted, but I changed the settings and it was fine until half way through, when it went off again, but then was ok!! Will give it another run to and check settings to see that it's not a problem with the disc! Be interesting to see if anyone else's does this?!!
Well, to the content, wow....brought all the memories flooding back. We were at the bottom of the grass bank at the back, slightly to the left, so was cool to see some footage on the stage close up, and also out over the arena that we couldn't see from that far back.
All the songs you know and love, with lots of close up footage ... Read More:
