Good selection of tracks, and good sound.
Only downside- cd cover has no history, or lyrics. You can go to YouTube.com to see videos of Johnny singing "I can see clearly now" plus a good cover by Jimmy Cliff in the '80s.

Its not often that music is made like this - happy and summery. This is a great album to listen to on grey rainy days as the songs will take you away to sunshine and lazy days on the beach. This guy is a genius - buy his album!

Dont get me wrong I am a big fan of Fat Freddys Drop but found this album a bit self indulgent and flat. Dukies voice which is one of the finest around seems to go a bit pear shaped here and there too. It all kind of meanders and doesnt have enough light and shade, I guess you had to be there. I have seen them live on a couple of occasions and each time they were absolutely superb, great energy and performances all round. I guess I expected more of the same on this album but felt a little short changed

Excellent comprehensive collection of tracks from this genuinely seminal band. Anyone who is interested in punk/rock/indie/garage/punk-funk music should check this out immediately.
WARNING: Most other music sounds very bland and 'quiet' after you've played this album! My advice would be to listen to some Wanda Jackson beforehand, to ease your ears into the yells and screams which litter The Sonics tracks, then follow it with some Black Diamond Heavies or Link Wray's 'Lost Cadence Sessions' for some equally distorted-guitar sounds. Enjoy!

Your opinion of this record is all down to your perspective. If you already love Reel Big Fish (which for the record I do) and just want them to churn out the same thing over and over, then this album delivers in spades. If however, you like bands that like to develop and try some new things this will disappoint.
This album features a cover of Phil Collins' "Another Day In Paradise" in a ska-punk style. If the idea of ska-punk covers of popular hits still amuses and appeals to you as something fresh, then you will love this version and it is exactly as you would imagine it to be. If however, you think this smacks of "ticking the boxes" and is a lazy going-through-the-motions type of manouvre that might still work live but wears a little thin ... Read More:

I was very impressed by the first two volumes in the series but this volume, while it has some great tracks, does not match those two although I like this set better now than when I first bought it some years ago.
The highlights for me are I saw three ships (Sting), Blue Christmas (Sheryl Crow), Christmas (Blues traveller), a Gallic version of Silent night (Enya), Santa Claus is back in town (Jonny Lang), Christmas is now drawing near at hand (Steve Winwood) and O holy night (Tracy Chapman). Most of the other tracks are OK but the version of Santa baby included here is definitely not my kind of music. I much prefer Madonna's version, to be found on the first volume in the series, or the original Eartha Kitt version from the fifties.
