This is a brillant album, but why did they need to release it with only three tracks.Anyway here is a review of each track:
Umbrella feat jay-z-10/10 This track doesn't really need an introduction, i wasn't sure about this song at first like everyone else but it grew on me and became her first number 1 and stayed at number 1 for 10 weeks
Push up on me-10/10 A brillant dance track, one of my favourite cuts on the album
Don't stop the music-10/10 I loved this song, but i feel it has got overplayed
Breaking dishes-10/10 Another great dance tune, again another of my favourites on the album
Shut up and drive-10/10 I think a lot of people weren't feeling this song when it came out but i loved it and still do,it's a great pop/rock ... Read More:

Totally agree with previous review. Im not a complete soul disciple, dont trust all music that slips down like cola, much soul often feels that way for me. BUT... the tunes on this may be smooth but the depths I havent even got close exploring and it hasnt left my stereo since I bought it. Pay the price just to encourage the Kings at Ace to make the sequel please!

Was wondering what to buy recently when I saw a review of this album and an interview with the singer in a sunday magazine.Turns out that this is a brilliant album, and has traces of blues, gospel, pop, country, and a touch of the brilliant Karen Carpenter about it.
Stand-out tracks for me include the intense deep gospel of Nobody's Fault But Mine and One Cloud, and the lighter yet still uplifting pop of So Sublime and i Shall Be Released.
A varied collection then in some ways, yet with a pleasing undercurrent of blues running throughout the whole album to string it all together and give it a sense of identity.
Really uplifting and at times extremely powerful! For once the hype may be justified!

This is quite a good selection of RnB hits from past and present. It certainly fills some gaps in my CD collection. My personal favourites are the tracks by Joe, Akon, Christina Milian, Blackstreet, Boyz II Men, Outkast, Nelly and Usher. Wow! That's eight tracks! Admittedly some tracks have been played to death but there's is no denying that UMTV have put together another top quality compilation with most of the biggest names in modern RnB. This is bound to be a best seller!!

Can anybody think of many double albums on which every track is even 'good' let alone a master work? They are very few and far between as the majority of them just go on for far to long with too much 'filler'. And so we come to SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE by MR. Stevland Morris.
After the masterpiece which was INNERVISIONS in 1973, Stevie Wonder released this magnum-opus in 1976. Is it as good as INNERVISIONS? The answer is a resounding YES, YES, YES!
Up-lifting and beautiful, happy yet melancholy, it doesn't get any better than this.
Go and buy it.

I've been a Amy fan since the start, so maybe i'm a bit biased when I say I prefer her debut album to her current one (which is still very good) but I always find myself listening to this album over her current one. I just think it's a bit more raw and authentic (and therefore maybe won't appeal to mainstream music fans as much?) and it really comes through on the album..defo a more jazzy vibe but I love it and it suits her vocals really well :) I did buy her new album which i also think it's brilliant but this is still my personal preference!

I have bought AG albums in recent years and while I haven't exactly been disappointed, as they have all had their good moments and Al is a solid performer, they have failed to thrill. I think Al lost something when he got religion - a certain spark that's hard to define. However, he's certainly got his sparks together with this one (and no mention of the "Reverend" bit - I wonder if there's a connection?). Anyway, this is definitely Al's best work in years and in fact it's one of the best albums I've heard in years by anybody. It still does sort of have that Willie Mitchell/AG shuffle and yes the drumming is reminscent of Al Jackson, but it's more funky. The production is superb. I love the guitar and the gorgeous Hammond B3 organ (yes a real one I assume) gets ... Read More:
