I brought this album in special edition and i must say it's the best slipknot album yet. songs like: sulphur,dead memories,butchers hook and psychosocial are the best to listen to and backed up by so many other cool tracks this album is a rare treat and the best album of 2008.

It only arrived yesterday, and its growing on me!

I agree with another review I read that a couple of the tracks are similar in style to the Once Again album - which I loved! The others are quite different in style, and Track 1 is a nice change! Its good - buy it!

Very enjoyable except for "Danny Boy" which, with Keating, I thought was dire.
The female duetists were an asset.

Just received this through the post(why did it take so long???), definately worth the wait, it is brillient, he truely does have an amazing voice - soft american rock at its best, reminicent of Richard Marx.
Nice to see that these 'talent' shows do occasionally turn out a true gem. Buy it you won't be disappointed, this will be a favourite of mine for a long time to come

This is a bona fide pop/dance classic. FF hark back to the 80's..the best parts..and you won't be disappointed if you enjoyed the early career-defining albums of Prince/Eurthymics/Thompson Twins/Spandau(early singles)Heaven 17. Add-in some Parachutes Coldplay and some chiming,exciting guitar work and you've got the best confection I've heard for a long,long time.
It's the kind of album that makes you want to shout from the rooftops for everyone to take time out to listen,dance and enjoy.
I don't know what else FF could do to make a classic debut...they could be prettier?...from NYC?...have celebrity girlfriends?......but that's just the fluff that would get them a Red Top audience.

I just can't understand why this album has got some bad reviews as it is Skinners best album by far.

There are some excellent tracks especially "Everything Is Borrowed" "On The Edge Of A Cliff" "Escapist" and "Heaven For The Weather" (which is irresistibly bouncy and singalong). Skinners softer side appears on the lovely "Strongest Person I Know".

Musically this is by far Skinners most accessible album with some really catchy tunes not just the hard beats we find so often on the other albums.

Lyrically, there are some gems but there are also some clunkers. However there are a couple of tracks where the theme seems to be uncomfortably anti-christian and this leaves a bit of a bad taste.

I know Mr Diamond lets do another album together, says Mr Rubin and like the last one strip it back and bore everyone to death.

Dull, dull and dull. What are you all talking about i was asleep quicker this time than last time. Even live he tries to liven them up a bit.

I have seen Neil Diamond live many times and own all his albums including this one JUST BECAUSE YOU FEEL YOU HAVE TOO. Please bring back the old Neil Diamond maybe not the Heartlight one but the Forever in Blue Jeans one would be nice.

On first listen, eveything is here that you expect from a Tracy Chapman album: an obvious sincerity of thought and expression, love and politics and reflections. What makes this album so convincingly good, is the music of the musicians involved. Rob Burger, Carla Kihlstedt and all the others do not deliver some usually well-done studio work, they comment and enrich the songs in very interesting ways. Producer Larry Klein is looking for a different setting for every single track without lacking coherence. it's a flow from start to end. I have two little girls age 6 and 8. We have owned this cd for over 2 years and they just haven't tired of it. In fact I am contemplating buying another one as our original box is broken and the lyrics sheet unreadable! They know all the words and all the tunes and have spent many hours dancing on the lovely songs from the original soundtracks.
This is a magical cd that I will keep forever long after my girls have left the nest to remind me what they used to be like when they truly thought they were princesses and that their prince charming would really come!
