The name Frank Sinatra is synonymous with with Jazz, Swing and Orchestral sound of music. He had an unmatched vocal talent and his music will always be viewed as legendary. It's hard to believe it's just over 10 years since we unfortunately lost this musical great. The Platinum collection compiles all of his classic greats that anyone and everyone would recognise instantly. His music wasn't made in the same way as todays standards. It wasn't released album by album, and you didn't need crazy looking music videos in order to get people to pay attention. VERY NICE EASY TO LISTEN TO ALBUM DISPLAYING TRAITS OF JAZZ/BLUES IN ITS MILDEST FORMS-VERY NICE TO LISTEN TO FOR A RELAXING CHILL OUT HOUR OR IN THE CAR.
OVERALL I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS ALBUM

I once had Bensons'Greatest Hits and listened to the album over and over again..Then I gave it to a man I loved, cause he loved him aswell.
That love is gone now, but my love for Mr.Benson is as srong as ever.
This cd holds all the songs I've once had,eccept one(Living inside your love)That's fair enough.
Beautiful,don't hesitate to buy it if you want a complete album!

Living here in California and knowing this live concert recording would not be on sale until Nov. 25th, I ordered from the [always reliable] Amazon.UK. I'm a nut for live material, especially in the jazz idiom and realize that ECM seldom (if ever) releases a shoddily recorded live set.

This recording is superb! I only received it yesterday, so I have only listened on headphones and can't state that the concert atmosphere ambiance will duplicate as well on my 10-speaker rig. But musically there are no grounds for disappointment. Each member of the trio blends into a cohesive whole and the tonal balance is perfect!

Like all the previous reviews,this album is a classic & one that never gets tired,other albums come & go but this one is here to stay,been a massive fan of zero 7 from the beginning since i first heard the sublime "destiny" on a late night chillout radio show,every track on the album is outstanding,wether it's the beautiful instrumental tracks or the ones with vocals,it's simply a pleasure to listen to time & time again,a true classic! Also check out the brilliant "when it falls" album,another excellent release by the outstanding zero 7...

This is really a nice discovery, if you don't know Melody Gardot's tunes. I didn't know of her before listening to this, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the awful cover concealed a tight little collection of songs. The production takes up the baton from, say, Ray La Montagne or Madeleine Peyroux, if you happen to know either of those chaps, being all smoky clubs and drum brushes and minor key niceness. Though it could be said to threaten, it never drops into hokey caricature, but delivers I think an honest collection of songs, well worth repeated listening.

Most of these tunes are unknown to me, but 'Isn't it a Pity?' and 'Little Jazz Bird' are far from unknown ones, but are both worth another hearing!

Reading Buble reviews are a paradox in that die hard fans rave about him (and get `useful review' votes from other die hard fans) while other more critical reviews get slammed. How about an attempt at objectivity?
Buble is a wonderful vocalist, but there honestly is no musical originality here. If you are seeking music for a dash of innovation or emotion - or anything I can think of really - Buble really cannot deliver it. It is the culinary equivalent of an excellent drink of water - perfect every way, but without any describable qualities. I last heard this playing in an airport lounge - and that really says it all.
