I've know about Ray for some time and couldn't wait to get my hands on the album. His voice is like something from a distant past of actual singer songwriters. He couldn't be more pained in some of his songs if someone had actually stabbed him with the steely shard that is love. This is a MUST have album that transacends any other artist around today. He's little known and let's keep it that way, God forbid that Radio 1 give him a rave review! Simply astounding.

Well this is my first review on anything,so it must count for something.
I got this last week and must off played it at least 6 times in the car.
It's a joy to drive !
Thank you Classic FM for introducing me to this excellent album,and thank you to the honest reviews from the customers who had the sense to buy it.
The tunes are all different,not as some say the same,they grow on you.
A tune has been going through my head all afternoon and is as I type!
I'm not complaining.
The only problem I have now is deciding what to get next.

This album is classic AC/DC and full of the punchy, energetic, anthemic rock we're all used to from the lads. And of course the vocals are as distinctive as ever. There is not a lot more to say that has not already been said by other reviewers other than this is a must-have album for any AC/DC fan and for anyone who likes their rock.

Let's Get It Up, Inject The Venom, Spellbound and Night Of The Long Knives are personal favourites, and I defy you not to break out your air guitar.

what a legend this is the best jimi hendrix compilation cd its fantastic love the wind cries mary,vodoo child,red house,all along the watchtower,and more u2 ruined the song all along the watchtower hate u2!! bonos voice annoying like bruce springsteen rubbish jimi hendrix had a good and unique talent before his time with the phcadelic thing!! its some trip elecric ladyland need i say more anouther album from the 60s i like was hey love by the rotary connection featuring the legend minnie riperton she is cool!! and the beatles dusty springfield aretha franklin ray charles all had at least one good album from the 60s there legends i also recommend nuggetts 60s phcadelic rock compilation cd its cool!! buy this its fab jimi hendrix R.I.P

This is the compilation which defines the most criminally overlooked rock band in history. One of the greatest songwriters of the late 20th century, backed up by a troop of amazing guitarists, with Gorham, Robertson and Moore blasting out riffs and, more importantly, some of the greatest guitar solos ever throughout each song on this compilation. This band is a monolith of rock music and thankfully this compilation shows this very well.

my only quibble is that perhaps this shouldve been called 'the very best of' or something like that. In that case southbound and massacre couldve been added too, as well as the rest of the black rose album. This is most definately an album that deserves at least 3 listenings to from everyone who says they like listening to music because it is very very very good.

The opening title track 'Bombtrack' is a perfect track to listen to to understand this album because it is almost like a round up of everything to come in the rest of the album. Driving guitar riffs and licks (yes licks) from Morello and angsty hip lyrics from Zach. In fact the only thing it really doesn't convey about the album is quite the intricate brilliance of Morello's soloing ability and guitar playing. What made Rage popular back then still holds so much appeal today. Real music fans will revel in this album because they are a truly unique sound and their debut album can easily be counted ... The Very Best Of

Yep, Aerosmith have released many many greatest hits albums. I think this one has the best mixture of tracks of the lot though, a range of all their hits starting from way back. Some fantastic songs.
Highly recommended if you've only heard a limited amount of Aerosmith music, as it'll give you the pick of the best of the rest, and you may well decide to look into their more obscure stuff.

Wow. Live in the LBC will blow you away. This is possibly the greatest live performance I have seen by a rock band. Beautifully directed with breathtaking camera angles and lighting. And I haven't even got round to the music yet.

Avenged play close to perfect. This would pass in the studio. Synysters solos are incredibly played and Shadows' voice is more powerful than ever.

Worth the full money for Live in the LBC.


But diamonds in the rough?
Filled with B-Sides and covers.
There are reasons that these songs did not make the studio albums.

Songs like Crossroads and Demons are average and may even be considered good coming from a smaller rock band. BUT THIS IS AVENGED and we have come to expect better. ... Read More:

Led Zeppelin III

I bought this album as a teenager in the 70's and never felt it was one of zeps greatest albums compared to Physical Graffiti and vol4 so unfortunately it was the last of the remasters that I bought. Having listened to it a couple of times it has quickly become one of my favourates. Its understated beauty really hit me and touched me particularly "tangerine" and the really beautiful "thats the way". Pity the packaging doesnt reflect the curiosity of the original LP cover. Buy it and enjoy!

my fav metallica album by far, kill em all was good but i never saw the big deal with ride the lightning and the puppets album but this is summat else each track goes on for ages with different guitar riffs and some good lyrics, its also the kinda album you can bang your head to as it goes from thrash one min to a slower tempo the next, so it suits both the old and new fans of metallica and as for the production i didnt even notice until i read amazons review, plus i think it makes the snare drum sound better.
