To fully understand Staus Quo you have to first view the era which created them and most importantly the influences that were around them. The Quo are one of the few groups who made the transition from hippie pop to hard rock, they managed to re mould the sound and image to appeal to the 70s in a way that was unique to them. Those ignorant of musical structure seem to believe that the quo only used 3 chords within the structure of most songs however as a musician myself I can vouch that nearly all songs contain both many chordal and modular changes, if you want three chords try Led Zepplin.
This album is a fitting tribute to one of the greatest rock outfits of all time...enjoy!!

After reading many news articles and reviews about this album before it came out i was kinda unsure weather to buy it or not but in the end i did and after listening to it 3 times i have adjusted to the new sound that Axl has made into Gun N' Roses and i kinda like it. Now yes this album is a mix of music that some people may listen to once then never want to hear again but it also has some good tracks on it to Chinese Democracy, Shackler's Revenge and Street Of Dreams being personal favorites at this moment also Street Of Dreams kinda brings back the sound of the old guns reminding me of November rain. All in all i think the wait for this album to finally come out was well worth it.

A banal, irritating record. The lyrics are full of cliches, and the music is unexceptional. Only "Natural Beauty" rises above the dross.

"The Number Of The Beast" is an absolute classic, a landmark album in music/rock/metal history. And this reissue is an absolute disaster, with the classic cover printed in wrong colors, and the audio victimized by the infamous "loudness war" (Google the expression if you don't know what it means), with the music having been turned into one big mass of distorted noise. I did a full audio analysis of the whole album and just can't understand how the band's label could have let this precious material fall into the hands of inept audio engineers capable of producing something this amateurish. I wonder if the band had any say in these "enhanced" releases. Avoid this thing and buy an older, non-enhanced and non-remastered CD edition of the album if you want to hear how this masterpiece ... Bullet for My Valentine's debut album, and what a debut, awesome riffs, powerful vocals and emmense Solo's is what a debut should have. Having heard only two songs from this album before I bought it, I thought it was about time broadened my musical horizons (from just listening to Metallica & Slipknot!). Beginning the album with a soft melodic intro, which features Apocalyptica, which leads prefectly into 'Her Voice Resides', A Thrash annihilation with screams but leads to smooth vocals by Matt Tuck and the boys.
'Cries in Vain' was originally taken from their self-titled five track UK EP and the US six track EP Hand of Blood and '4 Words (To Choke Upon)' was originally taken from the EP Hand of Blood.
Overall, this album has put Bullet For My Valentine on the map and has ... Read More:

This album is really good. Come on - as if you didn't already know that! With the Foo Fighters there is a certain level of quality that you expect- and they always deliver.
The BEST songs on the album are 'Breakout'(I Love the screaming!), 'Learn To Fly'(A pop song, but still good), 'Live-Skin'(A good song for various reasons). There are other songs that are good as well. Such as 'Gimme Stitches', 'M.I.A, ect. but the first three songs I mentioned are really good and you will remember them for years to come.
The album only has a few bad songs which suffer from being very boring('Generator').
The album also has some acousic(y) songs to offer such as 'Next Year' and 'Ain't It the Life'. So basically, if you like the Foo Fighters - buy this album!!
