Well i finally bought this album yesterday - the deluxe limited edition digipack version at a 2 for 10 pound offer in HMV (first alarm bell). i thought, ok, i'll give it a go, considering i am kinda a mariah carey fan, and there was a bit of hype at the time.
put it on and did like 'migrate' but it all goes downhill from there. Not as good as Madonna's Hard Candy by 1000000 miles, and has sold less (second alarm bell).
The only thing i liked was the album artwork and colour scheme. I think mariah is out of ideas now and this album proves it. This is the lowest selling album of her career to date.....oh dear......
Very, Very overrated!

I haven't heard the whole album but I just want to say that Live with Me with Terry Callier is the sexiest record EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It even beats Night Nurse by Gregory Issacs and that's saying something!

Abba's final studio album tends to divide opinion, but for me it was a fine way for them to finish thier active recording career together.
'One Of Us' was Abba's last major international hit and is probably the best known track here. The follow up song in the UK was 'Head Over Heels' which shocked everyone by peaking outside the UK top 20.
Was it all over for Abba?. Well, in terms of major hit singles it certainly was (in the US 'When All Is Said And Done' flopped also), but this album gave us a few treats and an indication of where Benny and Bjorns musical interests were going (ie musical theatre).

He's a canny lad that Gryff Rhys! I've had this album on rotation for over 6 months now, and it never fails to entertain.
An album which gives Belfast the concept album, glamour treatment usually reserved for Detroit, Neon Neon spin a nostalgic 80's synth pop web suffused with style and substance to spare!
Yes it's a pop record, but it's done with such grace, quality and respect for it's source material that you are literally skewered on the countless pop hooks flying out of the speakers! Great synths, great basslines, canny, intelligent lyrics, fantastic!
Gryff has used Boom Bip's talents to good effect, while he can create some interesting electronic ditties, they always seemed somewhat rudderless at times, here however, Neon Neon is a pop marriage ... Read More:

'The Warning' was, if not quite a stunner, a bit of a hottie. This quite simply is not.

Why include three soul ballads if none of them is a patch on 'Look After Me' from the last release? These deathly dull tracks in particular bring the album crashing down. Other songs come across as in jokes and failed experiments - I'm looking at you 'Wrestlers' and 'Bendable Posable'.

The first three songs do show signs of life, 'Ready for the Floor' is a great single (partly due to the fantastic video) and there are other flashes of near brilliance in the intro to 'One Pure Thought' and the genuinely amusing spoken word section of 'Bendable Posable' - but at this stage of the game more is expected.

Make no mistake this is a huge disappointment.

Im not really one for Dubstep and to be frank, Dubstep annoys me a little. However, one day this guy Burial comes along and changed my life. In a world of changing emotions one often needs a medium to "escape" as it were from life and the crap that comes with it. This is where Burial steps in.

This is quite possibly the finest bit of musical work to ever be made. Its not your orthodox album, it needs to be heard from track 1 to track 13 all in one go. As someone else posted earlier, this is seriously a night bus album. Burial infuses his trademark 2-step sounds with haunting melodies and a crackling in the background that makes this piece work ever more haunting....

Even after 18 months from its original release I still find myself listening to this album on my iPod. And now they've released it with a bonus disc and DVD which are both amazing. I'm not even joking when I bought it again just to get the bonus stuff. Plus the new artwork is killer.

They were incredible with Slipknot this week and I sure as hell can't wait to see them again with Metallica next year.

After hearing about this group through friends I had to check them out - a few expensive downloads later I had tickets to their concert and I haven't looked back since. This is a fantastic album from track one right through to the end.

Smooth lyrics, matched to even smoother basslines, piercing horn sections and samples adding that extra something. If you get the chance see them live, if you don't get this album. And if you like it, even just a little bit, explore some of the other brilliant music coming out of New Zealand.

It's hard to really put the experience of listening to this album into words. It is just a relentlessly gorgeous soundscape, even by Sigur Ros' own high standards.

Of all their albums, this is the most seamless. As many listeners have commented, the songs seem to blend into each other, as if they are different movements of one work, and the album as a whole simply encapsulates me.

That is not to say that the mood is a constant throughout. Rather, the melancholy of Track 1 gives way to the gentle and beautiful optimism of Track 3, whilst the mood of Track 4 drifts between the two, in a wonderfully passive, relaxed way. this is the best thing i've bought off amazon for a while. i love it, and you will too. i am too young to remember most of these tunes, except for the really famous ones like doctor who but i have this cd in the car and it is such fun to think, 'that sounds like it has to be, oh i don't know, the royal wedding theme', and then find out it is actually 'magic carpet ride' or something.

i really really enjoy listening to this and i would recommend it to everyone. some of these pieces are really,,,,,, beautiful.
