If ever a modern day artiste could fill the mighty shoes of Marvin Gaye then It's Seal. Emerging from obscurity as the dreadlocked dude who added attitude to Adamski's Killer and made the summer of 1990, he then emerged with his own eponymous album in 1991. "Crazy", "Future Love Paradise" and a reworked"Killer" made great listening. But it was the slow growing"Seal" of 1994 which really blew me away. a perfectly formed shaven Seal is framed against a pure white background and an iconic image is formed. The songs are outstanding "Bring it On" "Prayer for the Dying" "Dream in Metaphors" are soul searching and soul soothing especially at the time when I was raw from being dumped by a then girlfriend. I would give the DVD 5 star rating too. The program is awesome. Take That is in it's best form, and concert is wonderfully conceived.

I trained myself to perceive buying something I like on a Blu-ray, after I already have it on a DVD, as an upgrade and not double-dipping. As such, I expect it to actually BE an upgrade...

Unfortunately... it was lit for the in-house audience and not for cameras (at least not for cameras used to shoot this concert). Insufficient light leads to grain and grain is abundant here, there is a lot of blocking and it is obvious that there is something gravely wrong with the colors and contrast. this song is clearly the stand out track from the hard candy album and subsequent tour, and it is such a shame it charted so poorly in the uk singles chart. warners have got to take responsibility though, they don't bother with a maxi cd single, instead just opting for a 2 track cd single and this rather pointless picture disc that does not even feature a picture of the beautiful lady herself. there have been some outstanding photographs taken to support the release and promotion of the album and I am dismayed they choose to release this with graphics instead of using a gorgeous shot of madonna such as those used in this years issues of elle :-( AMAZING AMAZING song though - and the remixes are very well done

Well this is my first review on anything,so it must count for something.
I got this last week and must off played it at least 6 times in the car.
It's a joy to drive !
Thank you Classic FM for introducing me to this excellent album,and thank you to the honest reviews from the customers who had the sense to buy it.
The tunes are all different,not as some say the same,they grow on you.
A tune has been going through my head all afternoon and is as I type!
I'm not complaining.
The only problem I have now is deciding what to get next.

Unpromoted which is a shame, Thanks to Amazon This Compilation is easy to obtain. As an OMD fan from thier early days this a must for all collectors. I bought this for the DVD alone but I am sure the Cd will get some use. Excellent purchase for any music fan as this Band have infuenced so many over the years. Great to see them on thier reunion Tour. And may they continue to please thier fans for years to come, Timeless.

I brought this album as the first disc has a great track list but was slightly dissapointed to find some of the songs have been remixed a bit too much and don't sound as good as the originals, like 'She's like a star'! Shame because I love that song.
I first loaded this album onto my computer and listened to it and it sounds absolutely awful!! I have Dolby Surround sound on my laptop and still sounds rubbish so I left a 1 star rating but this morning I put it in my car which has a very good sound system in it and this album sounds AMAZING!! So the 1 star rating has been removed and it's got a 5 star from me. The bass they have put on this album makes the remixed songs sound better than in a club!! One album you have got to buy if you seriously like your car to thump!!!!!

The Very Best of Al Green

I brought this album for one purpose and one purpose only 'Let's Stay Together'
I didn't know who sang it because I was an 80's baby raised in the 90's it was before my time, but eventually found out that Al did.
After owning this album 2 months now I have been gripped by Al's presents on the mic, I now have 15 favorite songs on the album, they don't call it greatest hits for nothing!!
I feel so strongly about this album because when ever I hear it, it just makes me feel good, I literally have a smile on my face throughout the album!!
I have an ultimate favorite, but it was hard to pick with great songs like 'Simply Beautiful' 'Sha La La' 'Tired of Being Alone' and 'How Can You Mend a Broken Heart' getting in the way, but 'L.O.V.E.' is just fantastic!!

So I've just moved home and my record collection is in complete disaray.
I want to listen to something before going on a big (and I mean big) night out but I can't find anything
Then I see this. I haven't listened to this for years. In fact I'm not sure I've lisened to it since I got it from a charity shop (where most of my vinyl comes from) about eight years ago.
It sounds wonderful. If you have this record I suggest that you put it on now.
Nothing needs to be said about Grace Jones, a woman whose image eventually overcame the music until all most people can remember is her attacking Russell Harty.
The music, however, is a dark slinky gem.

This great two disc album from the Pet Shop Boys contains thirty five of the duos greatest songs. All of the Pet Shop Boys biggest hits, such as `Go West' and `West End Girls' are included as well as some that I hadn't heard before buying this album but they are all very enjoyable. My favourite song from the album though is the relatively resent `Flamboyant' and in all honesty it was this song that encouraged me to get the album in the first place. The one slight criticism of this album is that all of the truly great songs from the Pet Shop Boys could have easily fitted onto one CD rather but this is only a slight annoyance and even the songs presented here that are less that stunning are still a cut above much of the music released today. I must admit that I don't know if I completely understand this music (yet?). It's kind of like new age Pink Floyd with an Icelandic twist. The reason I say that is because it has such a broad expanse of sound which I do like. I must admit the middle of the album is really worth buying it for - there is such a lot going on it's awesome. However on the down side I feel that some of the tracks are a bit long and seem to have these very strange endings where a load of odd unrelated sounds seem to be tagged on as an after thought. Apart from that it has really grown on me and I think if you like something a bit out of the norm then this may well be for you.
