Track 9 is good, the rest is utter utter tosh. If you like your music to make stupid beep noises or xylophone this might interest you....if however you like normal music steer clear. How people rates this 4 or 5 stars astounds me.....give yer sen a sheck and give Rod Stewart a try...thats real music.

Having bought this album after hearing it playing in the hairdressers (!), I was not dissappointed. There are so many songs I recognised that I didn't even realise were Groove Armada's and there's a real mix of chill out songs along with dance/pop, so whatever mood you're in this album will give you a lift! I don't think this album will ever sound out-dated, it's great!

I love this album and neve get bored of listening to it. Each time I do listen I enjoy it more and more. The songs are infectious and it is hard not to relate to the lyrics.

wow what a first album! i own the empire album as well which is not too bad however this album really is something else! glimses of oasis and definately the stone roses in "processed beats". This album is dark and electronic - at least Kasabian have found their own sound and what a great tune to kick things off with "club foot" - possibly one of the most recognisable tunes of the last 10 years. Great stuff

I remember listening to this when it came out, through earphones, the volume up very high and the lights turned out.....it scared the heck out of me!! Well, I was young and sensitive. Although there is seemingly very little of Miss Jones on this cd, her usual powerful vocal style still penetrates when it appears amongst the stunning effects from Trevor Horn. A couple of the tracks seem a little dated now but altogether still a fantastic collection of tracks, prose and mini-biography, the voice of Ian McShane is still goosepimply-rich and used to great effect.
I would think that true Grace Jones fans may be dissappointed with this cd, but I think that if it is the first one that you hear, as it was with me, and it then leads you on to the rest ... Read More:

Quite simply put... this album is in classic territory and is still relevant in 2008. Much of it live at T in the Park in 199.. something was my introduction to how live music should sound! Pioneering. If you are the new Jilted Generation get out there and buy it, you won't regret it!

Well Cascada have once again made it platinum with their second album, perfect day packed with fun up-beat tracks to fill a dance floor. Includes the chart toppers 'what hurts the most' & 'because the night'. All tracks are catchy and you'll probably know all the words to each song after a few plays.
Reaching it platinum brings a re-release of the album featuring 3 new tracks (for the UK) and a DVD with live performances. With the release being postponed hopefully it won't be too long for us to wait.
And with the third album on it's way next year is just even more to look forward to.

I have been listening to Mike Oldfield since Tubular Bells and own every single piece he has ever produced including all the singles (who remembers Guilty, William Tell Overture, Froggy went a Courting?) Over the years Mike has reached musical brilliance but has sometimes, I think in an effort to be different, slightly missed the mark. (I found Guitars a bit disappointing)Although I keep in mind what Tolkien said about his book, in that what altogether was loved by some readers was sometimes hated by others. So it is also for Mike - but this is one of his finest pieces. When you first hear it you latch onto the familiar haunting Tubular Bells riff that sometimes appears but, like many of his other albums - what appears strange at 1st, grows on you until you eventually ... I've been an avid fan on the Clubland franchise since the beginning and I'm pleased to say they are back in-tune (I couldn't resist that!) with Clubland 13. There is a mixture of hard-style, fast-paced, dance floor stormers (Darren Styles, Hypasonic too name a few) all the way across the board to melodic, 135bpm soul-soothers (Chicane vs Natasha Bedingfield).
Also making they're annual appearance are the dozens of remixes that, rather surprisingly, don't hinder the album at all. Some of them are just brilliant and are guaranteed to get you up and boogieing like it's 1999.
This is a turn-it-up-and-annoy-the-neighbours album!

Possibly the best offering from NOW so far. Da Feelin is the most incredible funky track they've ever done followed by the amazing reggae tune 195lbs. The whole album is quality and anyone who is fortunate enough to purchase it surely cannot be disappointed! Enjoy.
