This is the first of the so-called American recordings, and arguably the best. The songs have been carefully selected by Cash, and I believe there is certainly something here for everyone. If you love music you will soon fall in love with this album. Most artists today don't have one percent of the emotional intensity that Cash had. I highly recommend this album without reservation.

I'd never heard of Geraint Watkins till Mark Lamarr played "Unto You" and it stopped me in my tracks. This doesn't happen very often in these days of style over content. I ordered the CD on the strength of this song and I haven't been disappointed. This is a real gem!!!!! Easy to Say and My Love are such joyful tunes that they just make you want to dance. Champion is a gorgeous love song and the brass section gives it overtones of colliery bands and mountains. Unto You is sung with such passion that it brings tears to the eyes. There isn't a "filler " on this CD. The singing , the playing, the music , the arrangements are so coherent and masterful. This CD reminds us that music is transcendent and can make us more than we are.

I Believe - Very Best Of The Bachelors

I've always loved the Bachelors and grew up listening to their music, dad was always playing them...of course I had a crush on them, after all they were two great looking blokes from Ireland with superb voices.
It's a great CD with all my favourite songs and makes for wonderful lazy Sunday morning listening. Just to sing along with none of the hissing and static that used to go with vinal records is a bonus as well.
If you are a fan of the Bachelors then buy this CD I can promise you won't be disappointed. Just listening to Marta...wonderful,hmmmm!!, happy memories.

I like a variety of music from country through to thrash metal. Enjoy listening to Roy Harper and Bob Dylan so I thought I would give Neil Young a try. Knew nothing about this album before I bought it but the gravely, drawn, folk/rock melodies are simply excellent. I definetly will be purchasing more.

Everybody Knows This is Nowhere

Shortly after his first album Young released a rather patchy album that's real claim to fame was the first appearance of Crazy Horse. The voice is more assured than on the opener but that takes away some of the quirkiness that made the opener sound fresher than a rather stodgy offering in which Young seems to be desperately trying to make a niche for himself.

Years ago, I bought 'Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere' on the recommendation of a trusted friend, who told me it was considered an idiosyncratic masterpiece in the vein of 'Astral Weeks,' though musically miles apart. Whereas I liked the album, I was never the biggest fan of extended musical jams, which 'Cowgirl In The Sand' and 'Down By The River' sounded like to me. In short, I couldn't love it, and I already knew 'Harvest,' 'After The Goldrush' and Youngs work with Buffalo Springfield particularly well. What I was looking for was that rare nugget that makes you fall in love with music all over again. Then, recently, I was drawn in by the effusive reviews of the reissued 'John, The Wolfking Of L.A.' by John Phillips, and it is a fairly consistent and good portrait ... Read More:

Charlie just gets better & better, this is one is just brilliant with all new songs on, and a bonus disk into the bargain, just fantastic dont have any doubts about buying Charlie's CD's everyone is great, and great for car journey's they are very relaxing and good sing along.
