I bought this cd for my little girl who is one and a half years old and likes to dance .... having heard it twice she immediately recognises it now every time i take it out to play, and she swings her arms and stomps her feet and sings away (in her own way!). Her favourite one is OATS AND BEANS AND BARLEY!!
Its a great cd, highly recommended!!!!!

At last a classical album for babies that actually does what it says? What do I mean? Well we like to play classical music to our children and so often when you buy an album for babies the music is just a collection of traditional pieces `selected' for the target market.

However on this album all of the tracks have been totally re-orchestrated especially for babies and toddlers. This helps to make them really easy to listen to while at the same time keeping their original qualities.

There is a good selection of composers on the album and with all the tracks lasting just over a couple of minutes each means that no one is going to get bored with them. This classical album is a great addition to our collection.

Quite different from the usual wiggles. My grandson (3) loves it. His favourites are the one with Leo Sayer, and Dr Knickerbocker. Longer songs than usual but they still have dances to songs which kids love to learn.

I bought this CD after being impressed by the Naxos disc of `John Rutter's Requiem. That was something of a revelation, and probably the strongest recording of that work available. This disc is far less impressive.

The Mass of the Children is a fine work. As when recording the Requiem, this Naxos version uses the chamber ensemble version of the work rather than the full orchestral version. As with the Requiem the performance is top notch, both musicians and voices. No one should expect a piece called `Mass of the Children' to be as deep or searching as a Requiem and this is indeed a lighter work.
