At first I kind of rolled my eyes at this one. Yes, I'd heard all about how classical music can help increase children's intelligence, but I wasn't terribly interested in upping my daughter's IQ (she's only 9 months old!) But then we listened to this CD and she loved it--grinning and moving to the music from the very first notes. My husband and I enjoyed it too. This is the first of three volumes of Mozart music for kids, and it is specifically designed to enhance IQ, inspire creativity, and provide a rich listening and learning experience for children of all ages. My baby had always seemed transfixed with the sesame street characters from quite an early age so we bought this DVD to see if he would enjoy it. He absolutely loves it and dances along to the very catchy songs - of which their are many. Only downside is myself and my husband seem to be singing the songs all the time aswell. I would thoroughly recommend this for anyone with a baby from a year upwards if only for the songs initially and then the learning possibilities later.

This is the 4th Cd I've bought for baby - and about time I got one this appropriate. Fantastically normal - not folky, operatic or weirdly modern - sung by normal voices with a bit of character for each song. Listened to it loads already and still not annoyed in the slightest.

There is differing opinions as to whether or not classical music enhances a childs mental growth, regardless, I bought this cd for my son and find its a great way to mark "time for bed" as I play it when I begin his night time routine, I also find that it soothes him..

The music is wonderful but my only criticism would be that when it comes to putting my boy to bed, I need to skip all the morning music as it is too energetic and fantastic for the morning. I would have thought that 2 CD's would have been a better choice and maybe a few more songs, I seem to run out of night time melodies just as he is closing his eyes.
