I haven't stopped playing this album since I bought it a few weeks ago. It's haunting, beautiful, buy it! Mary, track 7, is just heart stopping.

I don't need to tell any of you how great an artist Phil Collins is. A true 80s legend and an awesome live performer. He's produced many great songs and this collection features a lot of his best work. Many fans will probably argue that some of their favourites are not on here, but this album does boast his most liked and most popular tracks. Brilliant from start to finish, a good combination of uplifting 80s music and powerful ballads.

Possibly the best album of all time. Kermit has an especially fantastic voice, a cross between an early Cat Stevens and David Gray in his latest album, Life in Slow Motion. However, I think his rendition of One More Night till Christmas perhaps eclipses both these two great artists. I had heard rumours of a contract with Sony BMG and a solo career, but have no idea why it hasn't materialised. The song Love Is Gone is also an absolute classic, and brings tears to my eyes, especially the second version Track 18, which is perhaps the stand-out song of the entire album (which is saying a lot). Michael Caine also impressed me, and although not perhaps with quite the same talent as Kermit, or even Tiny Tim (whom reminds me of a young Aled Jones, and I believe has ... Read More:

More melodic than Mr A-Z and so the production is slightly different to suit the style and its a fantastic result! A very gifted singer/songwriter, Favourite song is Butterfly; if i had to choose my favourite song's i would struggle so ive narrowed it down to just one.
The album such great feel and some great moments such as on Make It Mine in the 2nd verse, the few seconds before it goes into the chorus, the hits on buttefly are fantastic, the subtlety of the percussion on Coyotes starting with the electronic groove and moving to a real drum sound is genius. Theres plenty on here to make you say "this is a great album"

This is a terrific album. I'd kind of forgotten how much I liked Pavement until seeing the "Slow Century" DVD recently. I'd continued following Stephen Malkus - I love his first solo album and I saw him with the Jicks twice, and those gigs were fantastic. I've heard the other two Malkmus and the Jicks albums, but I don't have them yet. They haven't immediately caught my imagination, except the song, "It Kills" which is fantastic.
Anyway, "Brighten The Corners" was the first Pavement record I ever got, having seen them live in 1997. I also think it's (probably) their best. "Crooked Rain Crooked Rain" is a little patchy in quality, and while "Terror Twilight" is wonderful for the most part, it is a little overproduced, and does possess one or two clunky ... Read More:

There are basically two types of movie soundtrack album. There are the ones where you get a song from the opening titles, a song from the closing titles and 10 tracks of incidental music or, alternately, the ones where a movie is set in a specific period and the sountrack is a "greatest hits" of that period.
This breaks the mold. Instead of 15 tracks of inoffensive incidental music designed not to detract from the movie (and hence, be pretty forgettable) someone had the ingenious idea of throwing Eddie Vedder, a guitar, a banjo and a mandolin into a recording studio and using the results.
The results are an album that stands up in its own right as a great record and a superb soundtrack. The simple chord sequences, evocative lyrics and Vedder's superb voice ... Read More:

This is one the first albums that I can listen to completetly and say I love each and every song. I had to buy a second copy as I played my original too much that I became worn. This album was the perfect length for my drive from home to university each day. Can't wait for the next album to be released next month.
I don't usually review anything, but love this so much I had to...

Fantastic album Pacific Ocean Blue, just get it and listen to it, plus the bonus tracks and the additional lost album 'Bambu', all beautifully packaged, make this a worthy tribute to a flawed genius; Dennis Wilson.

I just want to add my voice to the crowd: Bonamassa is more than you expect. I have bought all his records now, and there is no disappointment, I am very very impressed with him: good voice, massive sound, an amazing knowledge of the classics of blues and rock, and a style of his own who can also perfectly emulate the great names when needed. He is fulfilling expectations coming from the hype around him. HE DESERVES IT. I have not been impressed as much with someone since Stevie Ray played Texas Flood in my ears many years ago. MUST HAVE FOR ALL BLUES FANS!! Not only this CD! ALL OF THEM !!!

Like real Stars that burn out, or implode. i was hoping that Snow Patrol would not be one of these. Apart from a few goods songs, i never quite see the point of Snow Patrol, giving rather plain songs. This album is no expection and is imensely plain. One of the greatest sadness, is that in bedsits around the world there are people writting better songs and lyrics than these, but of course, those people are totally annonomous, and may never to be found by record companies.
Track 1 & 2 are commercial and ok, but actucally, surprisingly, right at the end the three songs, merging into one lasting over 14 minutes for me, appeare to be the real talent of Snow Patrol and offers a glimpse into where they should push themselves. These three songs are great!
