People Get Ready

I bought this album today and its the best album I have heard in a very long time.

Russell Watson always comes across as such a lovely man and has had the most traumatic time of late but oh my god his voice is just amazing and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate what he has overcome.

I had always associated Russell with opera and it was only after seeing him on a couple of tv appearances singing some of the songs from this album that I had this tingling sensation and thought I needed to hear more....I am so glad I did.

The songs are great and his voice is breathtaking. You will really want to get up and join in and sing along with him to songs such as 'Heaven help us all' and Try a little tenderness' ... Read More:

The Ultimate Collection Special Edition

I am just about to order this album from Amazon. I give it 5 stars since it will likely have most of the songs that I love and maybe a few new ones. I listen to his music almost daily. I have listened to Russell's voice mature over the years, and I can say for sure that it is getting even better. The Voice is my personal favorite where he diplays his incredible tenor voice. Some say he can't sing opera. I totally disagree. His youthful, clear sound is amazing as he seems to reach incredible heights with ease. Not a well seasoned Povarotti or Mario Lanza, but different and refreshing.

My other favorite is Amore Musica. Here, you can tell that his voice has matured. But he can still hit the high C's. The choice of songs is fantastic, my favorite ... Read More:

This late 2007 album is another to add to the collection for Russell Watson fans.Its a little strange to grasp but the mix of classical and pop is sometimes a good one and Russell is the "Daddy" of crossover the Voice as he is also known as because he has power and range beyond most singers classical or pop that are round at the moment.
There has always been a debate over is classical best for the Voice? as he sings and entertains in his music and the passion and power shows what ever he sings!So its good to hear what else this versatile voice can do!What ever you may think of his success it is undeniable he has talent ,I am sorry but sour grapes just does not cut it with me his success is a reflection of his talent and voic.Come on ! if he was so bad no one ... Russell Watson is not an opera singer but a pop singer who for some reason has made a little talent go a long way and has been quite successful here in the in the uk, due to serval TV shows.If you want to listen to a real tenor try Domingo or good old Pavarotti now these men can sing and have been in many opera's. What opera has Russell Watson been in? On this CD he murders Freddie Mercury and the fab Montserrat Caballe song "Barcelona" .

Amore Musica....what can I say. Im only 20 and this is my in my top 5 cds alongside kaiserchiefs, coldplay, guns n roses etc. Out of all the cds he has released, which i also own...this has to the best. His voice has developed a quality which makes his music sound so much more filled with emotion and i get goosebumps everytime i listen to the cd. I would recommend this to anyone....give it a chance! I tell you, its fantastic studying music! First class...cant wait for the next album

What more can you say. The only drawback is that some of the clips are from previosly released DVD of concerts in Leeds and New Zealand. Even so a wonderful performance.

Captain Corelli's Mandolin

After watching the film, then buying the book and film guide, this was was a natural choice. I have listened to it more than any other CD in the collection. The orchestral tracks are exremely well composed and performed. There are tracks from the original soundtrack too (including La Scala's spontanious opera songs). A classic!
