This is touch bin version 2! They have changed the locking mechanism so it's easier to clean, and now you get side ears and a base that I don't have on my old one that's now two years old.

Normally I tend to confine my reviews to items of the literary kind, but as I can't really be bothered with another book review at the moment (and because I bought this grill from Amazon recently) I thought I'd turn my critical eye on the Big George.

This is my first real experience with health grills, and overall I'd have to say I'm quite impressed. The grilling area heats up quickly and is big enough to fit plenty of burgers on, making it a handy backup if you've invited all your friends over for a BBQ but the weather isn't cooperating. The unit feels solid and durable, though the temperature control seems unusually delicate, as if it doesn't really do anything. Why four stars not five?
I took one for the fact that I have a feeling that some of the previous reviews gave it one just for the fact that the product is British. Yes it's great, but it does not matter really where it was produced. Anyway.

I would take another star off, as it ALMOST does what it says it does on carpets, but it's being rescued by the way it works on hardfloors :

On tiles or wooden floor it works it's magic and deserves 5 stars, no argument.

Problems start you want to clean the carpet. Unless you go around with a dyson once a week and then everyday with the sweeper you will encounter the unpleasant reality of the product being unable to keep the dust in a dustholder and throwing it away ... Read More:

Spider Catcher

This simple device is great, I have several around the house in strategic, ready to hand locations. It's true that it works better on the bigger spiders, but that's good, right? In fact the bigger the spider the better it works :-)

After reading several good revues on Amazon, I purchased one. Unfortunately it was delivered with a damaged inner seal and had to go straight back. The replacement worked well for about a month but then each time it was switched on it fused the house power supply. I have sent it back for a refund and will not be buying another

Compact and easily stored.
Used approximately 4-5 times - the top lid disintegrated into 2 parts - the lid and its holder parted company, and the holder cracked in one place - stuck it on with super glue but this did not last long at the temperatures needed for steaming - all in all a great disappointment - needs to be more robust and sturdy.

This is our "family blender" at home and it is used for almost everything including milkshakes, omlettes, pancakes, batter-mix, purees, curry pastes, soups and breadcrumbs. Although I mainly use the primary "stick blender", the chopper attachment is brilliant for mincing onions etc. fast. Turbo function is more powerful but, not something you tend to need all the time. Everything goes in the dishwasher. Just a very good all-rounder.

Bodum Spare Glass for 8 Cup Coffee Makers

This is my second spare in 6 years.
The only reason I bought a new one is that my old one became discolored.
Best warm the glass prior to use boiling water.
Great in the diswasher, no more discolored glass.
