Numatic HVR200 Henry Vacuum Cleaner Red 1200W

When I needed a vacuum cleaner, I didn't initially consider a Henry. A smiley face wasn't what I needed. It looks like a cross between a very basic 1970s vacuum cleaner and a merchandising tie-in with an old children's TV program. The Adventures of Henry and Hettie, CBBC, Thursdays at 4:30pm, or something like that. Bagged. No HEPA filtration. No DualTurbo Hurricane Dust Maelstrom blahblah system. 1200W, when 2000W is common. No pet hair remover tool (I have a lot of hair and shed like a pack of long-haired dogs, except that the hair is up to a couple of feet long).

So...an underpowered, overpriced children's toy vacuum cleaner with primitive technology. Not what I wanted, obviously.

Wow, who invented these? I've got one fitted to my Henry Vacuum Cleaner - a highly recommended product - Numatic HVR200 Henry Vacuum Cleaner Red 1200W - and it is one of many I have used. No rips, overflows, burst bags or general delinquency yet. They just do the job they're designed for, and they do it well. They're so brilliant I'm thinking of marrying one.

Its been some years since ive used a Henry and my first impression was of the fine quality of materials used really built to last the many years of dependable use he will provide.

Everything right down to the rugged casters that he runs on feels very well put together specifically designed for commercial use in Hotels and other areas that require regular cleaning.I particularly like the fitments used on the extension segments,designed so that they can be used time and time again without any worry of pieces breaking.

This new model has the new 1200w motor with the convienience of high and low settings depending on what surfaces require cleaning.I can remember the cleaner i used had the 1000w motor without the high and low button ... Read More:

Numatic Henry Micro HVR200M-22 Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner with Microtex filtration system

The machine is very solidly built and easy to use. You must ask yourself why the Henry is so commonly seen in commercial environments?
The only reservations I had before purchasing this was the power. 1200W compared to a 2000W+ Dyson.
Well, I have owned both a Dyson and now a Henry, and I must say that the Henry seems to have more, or at least equal suction to the Dyson, which is a testament to the engineering. You are essentially saving half of the power for no loss of useability. Just goes to show you that wattage doesn't necessarily mean better suction!
Due to the sheer solidity of the Henry, I can't see any particular weak points, and am pretty sure he could survive a tumble down the stairs. The hoses are stainless steel and push together ... Read More:

Numatic GVE370 George 3 in 1 vacuum cleaner

This is an excellent wet and dry cleaner. It has been around for many years. I have recently bought a replacement, after 12 years of trouble free service from the last one.

The machine is noisy but the suction is consistent and powerful, whether in Wet or Dry use.

I bought my new hetty yesterday and shes fab! The suction on its excellent on hard floors and carpets. Intially i was going to buy a henry as i'd done alot of research on vacuums, as was constantly let down by other brands only lasting a year or two. It seems that henry hoovers have a good reputation of not only being a great hoover but being reliable and hardwearing! perfect! Being a household with kids and two pets she seems more than fit for the job and shes cute too. Very pleased i'd done my homework, she's a fab purchase.
