I wanted a small portable DAB radio mainly to listen to while getting ready for work in the mornings. One that I could keep mostly in the bathroom & that could be used with batteries. I didn't want a 'Brick' that seems to be all the rage, so when I saw the 'Pure Move' I thought it would be pretty much ideal.
I wasn't wrong, as it truly is portable - it is small enough to carry in a coat pocket & the inbuilt lithium rechargeable battery gives a very respectable 40 hours use, which for my measly 30 minutes each morning equates to over 2 months between charges :o)
I live in Southampton & found that it tuned in to approximately 28 DAB stations from my kitchen but strangely when I went upstairs, it found about 10 more when ... Read More:
First off this is not a "HiFi" type device, but it doesn't make any claims to be either. Reading its own specs it said it had 5w speakers so I wasn't holding out too much hope! Just going by the price alone I was a little sceptical, but as it was a gift for my mum I thought I give it a go as I know she isn't too fussy. As it turned out not only did she love it, but I was very impressed too, it's easily on par with any good quality portable stereo CD/ Radio cassette, but it has looks to fit in with an older style house too, along with a record player to play all the old 78s on. It's easily loud enough to hurt your ears when you turn it up, but if you are really worried about sound quality or you want to play your records very loud it has a pair of phono ... Read More:

Compared with our old PURE Elan (Christmas 2005) the Elan RV40 is such a disppointment. Our first DAB radio was so easy to use; the 8 presets were not only a doddle to programme, but were a "one touch" operation to flit between, making it the ideal kitchen radio, in a busy teenager shared home. Sadly the on/off switch decided not to play any more, and after a month of leaving the radio on, and using the volume control instead, we decided to be more environmentally friendly and replace it.
The RV40 was a mistake. To change the radio station, you must now press; the preset button, followed by the + button, for as many times, as to equal the number of the preset, and then press select. At a minimum that is 3 buttons to press, if like us you like ... Read More:

Sony ICF-C273L Clock Radio
I have three main criticisms:
You cannot choose whether to have the radio or buzzer on specific occasions - you have to choose when programming it. On my previous Toshiba I could do that at the flick of a switch - for important wake ups I used the buzzer - on more relaxed mornings the radio.
It does not have an ear-phone socket although it says it has on European models. I though we were part of Europe these days! This means that I cannot use my excellent Roberts "Pillow Talk" for night-time listening.
The lack of battery backup has been mentioned by other reviewers and is a definite snag.
On balance I wish I had not bought the Dream machine.
If you do not want to spend twice as much on Bose, get this unit. Excellent sound and build quality. We only use it for DAB so I cannot comment on other sound sources.
What is miss is direct iPod connection, not just input jack.
And what we do not like? The LCD is too bright during the night, so bright it seems feels like full moon. However, this can be advantage if you need to find way out of the bedroom and back during night.

This alarm clock as some nice fetures, and is perfect for traviling as it can be powered by 2 AA battres.
It also has a radio for auto ajusting to the correct time for its location (not the kind of radio that you lissen to)
And the Projected time is brillent as it will shine on the celing or the walls, at night, during the day it is not visible.
The down side to this is, its too quite, and as a havey sleeper, I was unable to here this alarm go off.
So if you are a havey sleeper, best avoid this product and find somthing with more disabell.
I have struggled to get one of these. Other internet vendors are unable to get stock from Logitech. The suggestion is that Logitech are producing the Boom in order to promote it heavily and keep letting vendors and their customers down so I was surprised when Amazon/Pimxania had any. Pix call it a Wireless Network Player although everyone else calls it the Classic. Not sure why. Logitech need to realise that setting stock delivery dates that they repeatedly fail to meet is annoying people. Plus why put all your eggs in a product which will never be hifi when the success of the range thus far has been a decent DAC which only appeals to nerds (like me.)
Anyhoo, it has now arrived. Well packaged. I set it up in about ... Read More:

Have been delighted with this CD radio. The sound is simply amazing - full, detailed and excellent on all sources - easily filling a good sized room. The Ipod dock adds another dimension - allowing you access to a potentially huge music collection in excellent quality, all controlled using the standard remote.
